We really enjoyed our stay here! The cabins were clean, and the staff was so friendly! We loved our time here and can't wait to come back.

DHL Powersports - Charged me $186.59, did not fix the problem and misdiagnosed the issue!

Warning!!!! Do not…read moreuse this shop for any type of repair. Justin does not stand behind his work and when I called to to share the information below and request a refund he came unglued, cussed me out then told me to come to the shop (Assuming he wanted a fight). Here is why I called him to ask for a refund. We were on a House Boat for the week and one of my jet skis that had been running great then all of a sudden it would not turn over after stopping at the gas dock, it was just dead. I went into Sunset Marina where we rented the Houseboat and they referred me to DHL Powersports so I took the ski there. Justine worked on it for 2 hours, charged me $186.58 and said he could not get it to start and in his words "the ECM is more than likely the problem" and then went on justifying the $186.59 charge. The reason I asked for a refund was because when I got home and took it to a local shop and shared with him the attached invoice he said first it is not called an ECM it is called an ECU. Second if it was the ECU it would still run but just at a fast idle and with 100% confidence said it was not the ECU. Now full disclosure, I bought these ski's used and I don't really know much about them but the local guy also added that it had the wrong spark plugs in it which should have been caught by Justin if he really took the time to diagnose the issue. What threw me over the edge was when my local shop called me back with the diagnosis he had it running in less than 15 minutes! When I say Justin became belligerent with me is really an understatement. If you are from out of town and need work done other than changing a prop this is not the place to go. Perhaps if you are a local and you don't mind being sworn at if you are dissatisfied with the workmanship go for it. Everything above is 100% Accurate look at the attached invoice!

If we had to go another further, I have died because I was so tired. We stopped at a few little islands along the river. Definitely an experience we won't forget!

We got to the park when it opened at 9am Sunday morning and managed to snag some tickets for the 12:15 self guided tour. In the intervening hours I ran 10 miles in a slow drizzle on a path that was crushed gravel following along the same stretch of road that we took to enter the park. When it was our turn we were called by the over head PA to meet at Shelter for a short talk by the ranger before descending to the cave 200 ft below. A walk way takes you to the mouth of the entrance. We were able to walk a total of 2 miles in the tunnels which had an average temperature in the 50s. Wear a sweater or jacket before you go. The cave system is the longest in the world and we definitely could have kept going but were turned around at 3/4 of a mile into it. The caves possessed an artifact as old as 5000 years but the network of caves had inhabitants for much older. We got our National Park Pass stamped and also enjoyed exploring the gift shop and museum at the visitor center. The park has a great network of trails and camping and a lodge / hotel. We finished up at around 2pm and after about 5 hours in the park. It was a pristine day in the park with so much more to see, so we look forward to the next time.

It's about a mile in to get to this part, but worth every step. Plus, there are several lessor falls en route to the main event. They were breathtaking even for a low- flow season like September. I imagine these falls roar to life early spring with the mountain thaws. There's a dirt road that allows for less strenuous hiking than the woodsy areas if you're brush averse and don't want to be as much of a Billy goat, but eventually you have to hike a little ways to the observation points on the trail, so bear that in mind. Fun excursion for the whole family!

There's a 3/4 of a mile out and back hike called the River Trail that leads to 4 different waterfall lookout points comprising Burgess Falls SP. Waterfall #1 - The Cascades. Sort of the introduction area to the park. Waterfall #2 - First Falls. A quick glance at a 30 foot high waterfall section. But nothing special, imo. When Continuing on the trail, you'll cross over a wooden bridge and follow up a staircase. Now at... Waterfall #3 - Middle Falls... Middle Falls is 80 feet high and partially obstructed by trees and branches having grown over time. *Side Note*.... I wish park services would do some forest cutting for everyone to enjoy clearer views of the park's waterfalls. Entrance right now is free. I'd suggest charging a small fee and using that money to pay for some grooming. A lot of the observation points can't be fully appreciated. Just me venting a little, lol. Waterfall #4 - Burgess Falls... Burgess falls is the centerpiece highlight of the park. Standing at 136 feet from top to bottom, Burgess Falls can absolutely be dramatic, but still natural excess forest maturation disrupts full visibility of the falls. I did read that kayaking at the bottom of Burgess Falls is the most interactive way to come face to face with this statuesque waterfall. You can rent kayaks at Cane Hollow Recreation Area, located at the end of Cane Hollow Road. It's about 10 minutes from Burgess Falls. You can end the River Trail hike at the Top of Burgess for a panoramic overlook of the rugged gorge the falls splash down into from high above. It's another quick stop and go area before returning back towards the trailhead. Overall, Burgess Falls was a muted experience for me, but still has potential to be a rewarding visit if park authorities can maintain the inevitable growing forest hindrances that negate special moments at the waterfall overlooks.
