Heyyyyyyy
This was my "home" for 90% of my life (from its' inception till June 2012), so this review is definitely from an insider's point of view! I will be speaking on behalf of the English Speaking Ministries.
I love the Church, and I love this litto Korean Presbyterian church! It's not perfect, but one thing strength that has always remained in this church throughout all its' years is the strong presence of family! If you are there to stay, you will be treated like family.
Be prepared to be pulled and tugged physically, emotionally, and spiritually! We are open in our body language and conversations. We LOVE to keep it real, and we are pretty much a group of people who have grown up and "lived life" together. Also, this will probably be one of the most "chill" (take that in whatever way you will!) group of Christians that you will ever meet!
Oh yeah, and we are the best group of "loiterers" in the world! We love to go to Dennys, Corkys, Chick Fil A, Starbucks or In-N-Out and sit and talk and hang out all day & night (aka do nothing but waste time together)! Expect to go hiking, bowling, eating, and to the beach when doing activities.
If you are serious about your walk with God, then actively seek to get involved. The leaders there will most likely be more than happy to have you on-board! The retreats are super duper awesome, help out for the VBS's, and go on mission trips! Get active!!
The preaching is solid, Bible studies are awesome (if you're into that kind of thing, of which I definitely am!), and worship is contemporary. We really just love to worship Jesus and fellowship. I guess one area that needs improvement is the evangelism & outreach department, but I know that is something that's currently being worked on.
Well, anywho, if you decide to stick around based off this yelp review, I will meet you when I come visit in December! Wooooot
I miss Saenuri! Bless them MORE Jesus! read more
