Brenda, the owner, is an incredibly warm and friendly person who does some wonderful things at her farm. The day we arrived for our trail ride Brenda greeted us, got us situated with gear and horses. Then she personally adjusted the saddles and stirrups to ensure the best fit. The farm has a number of volunteers who help guide the riders through the trails in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Our two volunteers were incredibly polite and thoughtful as they guided us through the ride. The horses were gentle and responsive. The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. After we returned to the stables Brenda talked about the impact the horse therapy they do at the farm has had on participants. This has literally changed peoples lives. Outstanding place and people. We will absolutely be returning. Highly recommended.

They showed up in plenty of time, and had the time hitched and ready. The carriage is beautiful and comfortable, and was exactly the kind of classy we wanted for our party. (They have a more rustic wagon, as well, if you're going for a farm/country theme). The team is lovely and well-kept. I've owned horses almost 50 years, and these mares were in superb condition, cheerfully tootling around the neighborhood, very well behaved. Perfect hooves with recent shoes. Amazingly clean in our muddy winter (I can't get my grey that clean!) Laura and Patrick were extremely courteous and patient with all of the city folks wanting pictures next to the horses, etc. The team were obedient and safe. Will definitely hire them again next time we're having a party!! Would hire them for a wedding in a flash - they will not disappoint your bride!

My 7 year old daughter has attended several events at Warrior Tech. Mostly, the evening kids…read moreclasses, but she has also been a drop in for a day at camp, and she went to a birthday party of a friend she met through Warrior Tech. In all three instances, I would give this facility a 5/5 review. What I appreciate most is how much the instructors (aka techs, aka trainers) care and the values they are emphasizing. Obviously they are looking to promote healthy habits through diet and exercise. But more than that, I am seeing them instill values of good sportsmanship and teamwork. Seeing my daughter cheer on the kids in her class and then seeing the other kids rooting her on....I just love it. And when I see one child helping another do a skill or obstacle, working together.... I have no words. Competition is not a bad thing. It definitely has its place, but the ability to work as a team is a far more valuable skill and one that may not come as naturally as competitiveness. The techs are passionate about what they are doing and seem genuinely proud when a child gets a little further up the warped wall then they did last time they tried. Or when a child has better form on pushups than he/she did the prior class. I love seeing the pride and confidence my daughter emits when she figures out a new skill and I feel that same pride and genuine positivity from the instructors as well. She has spent a good bit of time at Warrior Tech, but never gets bored. The instructors are so creative in setting up new obstacles, exercises, and games. I will say they can be strict...but only when it comes to safety and never without good reason. This is, obviously, not a bad thing. When these obstacles are potentially dangerous, I want safety emphasized and I'm grateful for a reasonable amount discipline in the pursuit of a safe environment. If my child were doing something that increases risk of injury (to her or someone else), I would rather her receive a few stern words than a broken bone. As far as the birthday party we attended, it was a great time. So much so, that I booked my daughter's party at Warrior Tech as well. If you have really young ones, I don't know that I would recommend Warrior Tech. I would say at least age 5 on up to adulthood. Honestly, I wouldn't mind having my birthday party here and from what I understand, they have hosted parties for adults! The kids were completely engaged in the activities during the party. Again, you felt the teamwork and camaraderie as the kids ran through the obstacle race with their friends chanting their name. The vibes here are just great! Positive energy. Enthusiastic and encouraging employees. Overall, a great place to work out and have some fun for both kids and adults.

He tells me that the instructors were fantastic. He's 12 and typically enjoys obstacle courses, so this camp was right up his alley. If your kid has no interest in playing on workout equipment and completing obstacles all day, please don't sign them up for the camp. It makes it less fun for the others who are there to get better at their skills. But, if your kid loves running, climbing, and all things ninja warrior, then this is definitely the right place!

When I picked up my son he said, "it's the best camp that I have ever been too." He has been to residential YMCA camp, Boy Scout Camp, and 4-H camp. He said, "the food was great." He enjoyed the stories, the cooking, and capture the flag. His only complaint was the session was too short. He would have liked to stay at Camp Flintlock longer. He wants to return again next summer.

Dressed in time period clothes, the people that came were nice, informative, and very polite. When working with kids that is not always easy, but they handled it with ease. Kept the kids interested, lots of fun things to do that were even interesting to me. They kept it at a level that was just right, the music was fantastic for beginning to end. These fouth graders had a blast and were kept entertained the whole time. My favorite however was the candle making, tho i did learn something at every station as i am sure every child did also, it was the candle making that was my favorite. The children were able to take home the candles, and many other items they made through out the day while the learned that lesson. Which included candle making, necklace making, rope braiding, old time games, dancing, quill and ink writing, and dress up(both boys and girls) There was a total of about 7 stations all together not including the begining and the end. They do offer a gift shop for all price ranges most not over ten dollars. I figured this went to support their program. The ending they shot two cannons and had pop quizes with prizes for the kids. Both the beginning and end children were able to hear the fife and drum, coming and leaving. I was happy with the whole experience. I gave her extra money (in spite of her debt to me) to feed him more and he continued to lose weight. She kept him stressed by repeatedly moving him around from pasture to pasture so she could accommodate more horses on the farm. She purchased a horse trailer form me that she never finished paying for and still owes me almost $1000 on. She will not return my calls and has made no attempt in making this situation right. Once I moved him my horse bounced back quickly and happily which reassured the fact she was just not feeding him properly. DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN!

Very nice new (2018) playground in Wake County. Located next to Salem Schools, and a small path…read moreconnects this park to the Wake Zone Espresso coffee shop. There is a .5 mike path around a pond adjacent to the park. There are also three picnic tables next to the playground. A small dedicated parking lot with about 25 spots is adjacent. At this time, there is no bathroom available. The playground itself is cute and well thought out. It is a Train theme and the rubbery ground has some printed train tracks and other related pictures. There are three structures -- one for younger children, one for older children, and one for climbing. There are also two kid swings (no infant swings) and one circle swing more than one child can play on. There is no accessible swing in this playground. There's a small fake pond with a crawling log and a stone to climb. Overall, it's a nice playground with good, new equipment. There's a spinning cage to play in for the sensory inclined. There's a "ticket window" for some imaginative play, as well as a small place to sit with a table inside the play area itself. The playground is not fenced but is adjacent to a fenced soccer field. Equipment was hot in the hot summer sun, but that is to be expected when it is 95+ degrees out. The playground is small but has a lot to do, and it would be easy to keep an eye on more than one child at the same time in the space. Lack of a bathroom is annoying, but another excuse to go grab a coffee at the Wake zone then come back to let the kids play more. I look forward to the future greenway connection to Davis Drive playground.

My daughter attends 1 class weekly and has loved every coach. The classes are challenging and fun. Usually rotations of different stations such as bars, floor and trampoline. The feedback is constructive and we as parents receive info on how the child progresses. I receive a monthly news letter, coupon for summer camp fun and birthday party discounts. The facility is large and fully equipped in various equipment and tools to help the kids with form. Free wifi and plenty of seats make it comfortable while we are waiting. Classes for all ages, boys tumbling and adult fitness offered.
