When I was attending this school, the amount of times I was treated horribly and brought it to the admin's attention and it was just dismissed. This school claims to have the values of "family" but when some students are too afraid to keep the head up and to look at the ground when walking it's because of the students and admin. I happened to be one of the students, and they know that. The amount of times Chris Johnson and others told me to keep my head up and stop looking at the ground this is why, i was avoiding you. When having a meeting about bullying, La nej Garrison was there and instead of trying to help me feel comfortable at this school she announced to the students i was having issues with to not worry about her she has alot of issues(mentally) As a christian that she claims to be that is absolutely not ok, not only that but the fact multiple time she called the girls W**** and S***. Do you mother's and father's really want your daughters to be called that. Another big point is that If you don't have money just know your kids will be treated so awful and you'll never believe them because the Staff is so good at lying, they will pretend your child has issues but trust me they don't it's this school and the staff. "Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body." -Ephesians 4:25 thought I should throw in a verse so you know what you teach. One year I had inappropriate drawings of private parts drawn my year book, and you know what they said "we will get you a new year book" those were admin/teacher kids who did that. That was harassment, and the school did nothing about it. I am a survivor of desert christian academy and I am not afraid to speak out againt this school if that means saving other girls just like me from being absolutely destroyed. But honestly desert christian academy thank you, because of everything I experienced at Desert Christian Academy, I am who I am today. I learned to not chase the standards of people I would never want to be become. I learn that people can claim to stand for certain values while their actions show otherwise. but most importantly, I learned my worth does not depend on the approval of people who made me feel otherwise. I was able to leave, and today I am the happiest I have ever been. I have grown from my experiences, and I will never allow them to defind the person I become. We pulled into the parking lot about 9:15am and the 8:00am Mass people were still heading out so we waited in our car for about 5 minutes before going in. Mass began with a nice welcome and a few announcements. This mass was well attended and some people around us singing along with the choir but not many. Spirit & Song books available and in good condition. Baskets passed for the offering. Our habit is not to put money into the collection baskets when we visit. Instead, when we get home, I write a card of thanks to the priest and include a check with an offering. I'm always amazed that a majority of the time I never receive acknowledgement or thanks from the church. But the check is cashed. We will see...

Enjoyed attending mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Deep Canyon Road at Palm Desert last…read moreSunday. The last time we visited and attended mass at this church was 2 decades ago. I forgot how beautiful and open this church is. The floor plan is open. The church is so well lit. The parishioners and church volunteers were all very welcoming and kind. They welcomed us for the 11am mass. We arrived at 10:41am. We intended to just stop by and pray to give thanks and praise as we planned on attending mass at our parish when we get back home. It was meant for us to attend and hear mass at Sacred Heart that Sunday. The Homily spoken by the priest was heartwarming and significant. It's about a person or a loved one suffering from an illness like cancer. The priest, I didn't get his name was very charismatic and spoke about the teachings of God. He was Hispanic and related his speech about modern day life. This is a beautiful church with welcoming parishioners and church volunteers. They have the Saints on the side of the church. Inside the church to your left there's an area for families with young children. Next to this section is the statue of Mother Mary where you can kneel and pray. I thank God everyday for all His guidance, love and blessings. Grateful to have attended mass here last Sunday, August 10th at 11am.

Over those 14 years, I worked hard to provide reliable service to them as a small, family-owned business. Like every other business, we have experienced significant increases in labor, materials, insurance, and operating costs over the past five years. When I finally had to adjust my pricing to reflect those realities, the church chose to cancel our service. I understand that every organization has the right to make financial decisions that are best for them. What was disappointing was not the decision itself, but how it was handled. After 14 years of working together, I received only a brief, impersonal email. I believe a simple phone call would have shown basic respect and appreciation for a long-term relationship. I expect more from an organization whose mission is to teach compassion, kindness, and respect. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect those values. I wish them the best, but I hope they will consider treating their long-term vendors with the same dignity and care they encourage within their community.

We've been to everything from standard Sunday Mass to Easter Mass and more. I love the bilingual Mass in Spanish. This is a really big church with lots and lots of parking all around. On Easter, they hire traffic directors to help out. The ushers at this parish are engaging and on top of helping everyone move in and out quickly. The AC is also fantastic here!

So I drove a couple of hours from Twentynine Palms to check it out, and go to the festival in February 2026 as well. Festival Admission was $5 but they wouldn't take my money and INSISTED I have a credit card or I couldn't get in! (I'm one of those old weirdos who pays cash for everything and doesn't carry debt, even for business purposes). They wouldn't let me pay cash to the couple behind me (who were looking at me like dirt), just NO WAY to do business with these people without a credit card. How strange! I did call the church (nobody ever rang me back). I had lunch at a nearby taco place while I was waiting for the call, then gave up and drove another 2 hours, back up the mountain to where I belong! I guess God doesn't want me to go to a money hungry church that makes it's members get credit cards! We are a military family who recently moved to the area…read more I was lucky enough to find Jean Benson with a google search and the staff there got my daughter started right away. The staff is very conscientious of illnesses and always looking out for the best interest of the child. They use an app to stay in contact with parents about their children, including pictures and important messages. My daughter fell in love with all of the teachers she would even ask to see them over the weekends. She has since moved onto elementary school and to this day still asks for the staff at Jean Benson. That alone shows how much love they put into what they do. Not a day went by that any of the staff looked unhappy. I met f families there who have had all of their children attend this program, which is great to hear about a school. We miss Jean Benson!! You will definitely not regret sending your child to this school. I know that every review can't be all peachy. The only negative thing I can say about this daycare is the parking isn't the best. There are times during the busy drop-off and pick-up blocks there is no parking available. Nothing a little patience won't fix. I recommend them 100% to any parents looking for quality care for their little ones.

My daughter started there when she was 3, and now my 3 year old son has been enrolled since he was 2. I have had such a wonderful experience both times. From the very beginning, the staff has been caring, attentive, and incredibly loving. As a working mom, there is nothing more important than knowing your child is safe and well taken care of during the day. I never have to worry about my son while I'm at work. That peace of mind is priceless. My son absolutely loves going to school every day. He adores his teachers and talks about them and his classmates all the time. It's so clear how much they genuinely care about the kids. He also loves the food (which says a lot!), and I appreciate that they make sure the children are well fed and happy. The environment is warm, structured, and nurturing. The teachers create a space where the kids feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn and grow. My 3 year old comes home excited to share so many new things he has learned in his classroom. (He learned the whole alphabet his first year!) Watching both of my children thrive here has meant so much to me. I am so grateful for this preschool and everything they do for the kids.
