The shop is very clean and sterile. No chance of infection here. I'm currently in the process of getting a sleeve tattooed by Eugene and I couldn't be happier with how it's turning out! The shop is bright and clean, though it does smell like embalming fluid due to it being right next to a funeral home where they do embalmings. Nothing they can do about that... Keri did my piercing and she was so kind and professional. She really knows her stuff...Even though I have had my nostril pierced before, Keri still took the time to talk about aftercare. Keri walked me through everything ahead of time, answered any questions that I had about jewelry options and price. During the procedure Keri was attentive and asked me how I was doing. Of course it hurt, like any piercing does, but her bedside manner was awesome! I will be returning to Vanity in the future, once my piercing heals to have her pierce another nose ring beside the one I just got done today. Vanity also has a large collection of barbells, so I am looking forward to also changing my Industrial piercing with a barbell that is a little bit more aesthetically pleasing.

When i arrived they said he would be 2 hours late. So i went home and came back. When he was finally ready i told him how nervous i was and how i wanted to get my piercing done higher up in my nose so that i could flip it up and hide it when i wanted to. He said it would be better (which was only easier for him) to pierce my septum with a curved barbell. Septum piercing are not supposed to be pierced with curved barbells, but with horseshoe piercing rings. I told him i preferred a horseshoe but he pushed me to get a barbell. So i did. I've never seen anyone so shaky/nervous in my life, let alone a piercing artist. He made me even more anxious and it appeared as it was his first time giving someone a piercing. He had to adjust the clamps 4 times and still didn't have it right. He pierced my septum very low on the tissue part, as soon as i looked at myself in the mirror i knew it was wrong, too low and very crooked. I was so upset and all he said it was not crooked, and it was only lob-sided because it was swollen, and it would heal straight. I got home and the swelling had gone down fully. IT WAS AWFUL. SO CROOKED and ugly! I went through so much pain just to be disappointed. I called the store the next day to ask for my money back as i was very upset about the bad service i received for the price i payed ($70 i think)... I will never be going back to this place and i hope no one else will either.

My brother and I both got tattoos a couple of years ago when we were in town for the weekend. We…read moremade an appointment last minute and they were able to fit us in. I would highly suggest making an appointment well beforehand, however, as some artists are booked solid for weeks. My brother needed to get a couple designed and I wanted to get a cover up. We had an idea of what we wanted, but we didn't have an exact picture. Rob was our tattoo artist and he gave my brother a bunch of books to get some ideas. My brother wanted to get two dragons, one on each calf, and chose a picture from one of the books. Rob suggested that he design another dragon based on the original picture, one to compliment the other, facing the other way. The design was fantastic and the tattoo was even better! It was incredibly detailed, shading and all. It only took just under 3 hours for the two, black and white tattoos, including design time. My cover up was also amazing. I had a black and white tiger done with a bit of orange on my right shoulder blade. The size and shading was done perfectly to completely conceal what I had, and Rob made sure I was always relaxed and comfortable the whole time. I'm pretty sure I even fell asleep for a little while during the tattooing! The atmosphere is very casual and has an alternative, skater type of feel. They had metal playing when my brother was getting his tattoos, and the Beatles during mine. Some of the tattoo artists also have their own art and canvases for sale in the shop, so it's great to take a look around. All of the guys are so nice and even if you're lying on a bed with another stranger being tattooed next to you, you still feel like you're just hanging out with some friends. The pricing is very reasonable, but if you ask me, they should be charging a lot more since their artists are incredibly talented and have even won awards for their tattoos.

I trusted this…read moretattoo shop to do my first ever tattoo (a small 2 inch rainbow on my hip) and they did a horrible job. The tattoo 'artist' forgot that yellow came before green in the rainbow and accidentally did a green line where the yellow was supposed to start. This mistake is very obvious as green is a much darker colour than yellow and cannot even be properly covered or fixed. The 'artist' also did not admit to the mistake and made me pay full price ($120). I even made sure to send the shop an email with a photo of the exact tattoo I wanted (just a small rainbow) prior to my appointment and they still couldn't do it. I am now terrified to get another tattoo anywhere after this experience.

I was looking at flash by an artist named Han, she had really awesome artwork. I found one that I liked, filled out the tattoo request form and sent it off to her. She was very responsive and I got my appointment within a day of sending my deposit. The deposit is to ensure that the client shows up for their appointment -- no shows are a drag for the artists. The shop is HUGE. Several open spaces and many private areas for artists to work. It is aesthetically pleasing: the art on the walls, plants, it smells nice, and has many windows (so the shop is super bright. The staff are very friendly. Everyone is super welcoming and makes you feel very comfortable. While I was waiting for Han to make the stencil for my tattoo, I met another artist named Morgan, and they will be doing a tattoo on me tomorrow (January 21, 2023). All around great people, very LGBTQ2s+ friendly. Really looking forward to working with more artists hear! They all seem very chill. Highly recommend!!
