The asada, the enchiladas, the beans and rice all great. We got a little bit of everything can't quite remember what but loved it all. They were also advertising a free margarita for couples with reservations, which we had but our server never asked about it. We were seated quickly, but that was the only quick part of the night. It took over 35 minutes just to get water, and we weren't allowed to order everything at once. The food order took another 15-20 minutes. My partner's camarones arrived first and were warm and delicious, the shrimp sauce was a 9/10. My molcajete arrived later and looked nothing like the one advertised. It was missing items like cheese and chorizo, and the menu doesn't clarify different versions. The sauce was cold and lacked flavor; only the asada stood out. By the time it arrived, my rice and beans were already cold. Maybe they were overwhelmed by the Valentine's crowd, but the food and service were disappointing. I won't be returning I'll be sticking with La Parilla for molcajetes.

After eating here, Italian restaurants needs to know how to make food. Just had an amazing experience at La Ekzina Grill & Cantina! The burrito was absolutely delicious -- packed with flavor and perfectly made. The shrimp was next level, super fresh and cooked just right. And the tacos... honestly some of the best I've had in a long time. Great food, great vibes -- definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you're craving real, quality Mexican food!

Service was immediate and super helpful from recommending delicious beers to describing items on the menu that I would not have considered. The full bar is a treat. With a variety of tequilas, mezcal and local craft beers. Such a plus. We had the fish tacos which are made on fresh hand made tortillas. EXCELLENT! Best fish tacos I have ever had. Not heavy on the batter and very tasty and fresh. I also had the cheese chile relleno which is stuffed proportionately correct with rice and cheese; but the sauce is really what made this dish stand out from any other chile relleno I've ever had. It is absolutely outstanding. Finally, we finished up with the house homemade flan which had the perfect texture and flavor. I did not want to leave ! That's how good everything is at La Ezkina. I cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend. P.S. Ambiance is laid back; warm and inviting AND they have a parking lot!

So now was really howling it was yummy and decent experience since I was taking mom out with us too. And let me tell you, we were so happy with our service and food. The chef's are absolutely amazing, the waitress was kind and very competent. We honestly have nothing but positive things to say. I always strive for a wholesome healthy kids menu as we have two crunchy kids (6 and 3) and hate when us adults eat wholesome food and the kids menu is garbage, and let me tell you their food was all made from scratch, so wholesome and delicious. They shared a kids pizza with white sauce, chicken nuggets meal (which is a breaded Milanesa style cut up) with big curly fries that gave potatoe wedges vibes, and we had Garlic Spicy Chicken pasta which's was so absolutely delicious and full of bold flavors, my a rib eye steak meal that very well cooked full of flavor and juicy, and an adult size chicken Alfredo pasta. We were so happy, and went back the next day for lunch. This was 5/10/26... and today it's 5/13 and we're heading back there again! Highly recommend. I did think about taking pics, but I was so hungry and in the moment. Ambiance is nice and kid friendly, which we appreciate.

The ambiance is cute with a small closed off glass area of wine and two seater table inside! Our waitress Dominique was amazing. She was able to give great recommendations for wines and food. She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

It's not the waiters' fault, I know, but it's the only recourse I have. Maybe when enough waiters get dinged they too will ask that it be removed. Our absolute favorite? The vegan tacos and yes, we're not vegan. We always pair them with a side of refried beans and chiles toreados, and it hits every time. What makes this place stand out is how incredibly flavorful and satisfying their meat-free options are. Vegan dishes can be hit or miss, but this is a full on hit. The menu overall is solid across the board. You can pretty much close your eyes, point, and end up happy. Brunch is also top tier. The pancakes are excellent, and the traditional Mexican dishes like chilaquiles and huevos rancheros are comforting, flavorful, and consistently well done. Must try cocktail: the Chapulín. When it first comes out, you might think they brought you a green juice, but trust us, this one will surprise you in the best way. It's made with jalapeño-infused tequila and packs a flavorful punch. Fair warning: if you're one of those people who thinks cilantro tastes like soap, this one may not be for you since it's part of the mix. Service is consistently great. The staff is attentive, friendly, and makes the whole experience feel easy. And honestly, there's not a bad seat in the house whether you're outside, inside, or at the bar.

We were seated immediately; however, no one came to take our drink order, and we weren't given menus. After sitting there for about 15 minutes waiting, we noticed a heavyset woman who appeared to be the manager standing around talking while we were trying to get someone's attention for menus. About 20 minutes later, a server finally brought us menus. Another 20 minutes passed before we had to flag someone down just to place our order. At that point, we were already frustrated because we had originally planned to eat at the Indian restaurant next door. We even considered leaving after ordering but decided to wait it out. While we were waiting, a large group seated near the door appeared to be having similar issues. They had been waiting a long time for their check, and the same woman we assumed was the manager was arguing with them about their complaints regarding slow service and delays with their food. Watching the interaction made the atmosphere feel even more uncomfortable and unprofessional. Another 25 minutes passed while we waited for our food, even though we had ordered fairly simple items. When we finally flagged down our server to ask about the delay, our food suddenly came out almost immediately afterward. Unfortunately, the nachos were soggy, as if they had been sitting for a while, and the shrimp sautéed in butter was overcooked and rubbery. By that point, we just wanted to leave and avoid any confrontation, especially after seeing how the manager handled the other table's concerns. Trying to get anyone's attention was difficult, even though there were only a few tables occupied. Eventually, I had to walk up to the bar myself to ask for the check. In the end, we barely touched our food and left disappointed. We even stopped at Taco Bell on the way home because we were still hungry. Sadly, this was a very disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a Mother's Day dinner. On top of the poor service, the music was extremely loud so loud that it was difficult to hold a conversation, and it seemed overwhelming for families as well, especially with a baby nearby crying when the volume was turned up even more. Was extremely dissapointed should have gone somewhere else.
