I have been eating at Saba's since it originally opened. The food is still always excellent, large portions, incredible flavor, and served with a smile. They also have an amazing selection and so authentic. Recently I was there and Craig welcomed and waited on us. He has a great personality and a fun smile. Ordered take out last night, 3 gyros with French fries and a fatouch salad with chicken. And a 2 hummus plate. Picked up my order 10 minutes later, but they did not give me the fries. Had to go back after got home to get the fries. The gyros were not what you expect from a sit down restaurant, quality not fresh, the pita not fresh, hard. The salad tasted funny could not eat the whole thing because was disgusted at the quality. They have a dine-in menu and take-out menu, makes no sense, only thing I can think of if you order take-out you get the leftover food, it tasted like leftovers not fresh made that day. Will be looking for another Mediterranean restaurant in my area, not returning to Saba anymore. Very disappointed. read more

A group of my colleagues & I had lunch here today. None of us has ever been here, and we were all pleasantly surprised. The customer service was excellent (George), and the food fresh and delicious. George also was very accommodating with one of us having a severe allergy to cinnamon. He made a separate dish off the menu, and brought it out himself. On top of all these wonderful things... George also brought out two complementary deserts that were unbelievably unique and delicious!!! I will be back based on the phenomenal customer service alone. The hummus was excellent, it really stood out, as house made, and the pita was grilled with a garlic seasoning, DELICIOUS! For our entree we ordered two famous gyros, one chicken shawarma, and the chicken kabob dinner! All this was to go, they packaged everything perfectly, the order was 100% correct, and hot and fresh! I had surgery about three months ago. It's kept me at home, unable to get around very easily. Needless to say, it had been a long while since I have been in to Saba's to get my gyro. I walked it today and was greeted with smiles. The staff was concerned that they haven't seen me in a while and where elated when they did see me. And it's not like I was in there every day, maybe a couple/few times a month, but for many years. Food is subject to the eater. You may like something that I do not and vise versa. But when you get an establishment that remembers and appreciates their customers, it elevates your experience there. Especially in a world where not too many people even look up at you anymore. Oh, how much I love Saba's! I've been going here since high school, which was a long time ago, and it's consistently amazing. If you want Mediterranean food, don't think about going somewhere else go here! I ordered quite a bit of food for my mother's birthday dinner. All of the food was to-go and tasted just as amazing as if we ate in the restaurant. Here is what we ordered: Sleepy Gyro Salad ( my favorite), the Fattoush Salad (vegetarian), Gyro Platter, Chicken Shwarramma Platter, Classic & Cilantro/ Jalapeño Hummus, Spanakopita, Pita Bread and Basmati Rice. Everything was absolutely delicious and we had enough variety to appease everyone. The service here is always friendly and is a great experience. I let them know it was my mom's birthday and they threw in a dessert for free, which was just so nice! There are no decent Greek-Mediterranean eateries in the Northern panhandle, so we were excited for this fresh Fare and delicious Gyros. The orders were taken, and clearly. Food was served fresh and hot to order. I think the fries could have been better without the hot sauce. The fries kinda got lost in their authenticity. I was served a Caprese Gyro, which I did NOT order. It is filled with cheese and tomato... wonderful if you're a vegetarian... What annoyed me most more than everyone enjoying their delicious, generous, meat-filled Gyros, was the waitress trying to gaslight me about ordering it... "You did order it", she quipped...However, there were five other people at the table who clearly heard my HUSBAND say, "Two Chicago Gyros". That was unprofessional and rude on her part. Really!!!! Where do all these stars come from. We picked up and tried this place for the first time and I have to say how disappointed I am. Especially for the price I paid. I got steamed veggies and they are literally the frozen mixed veggies from Costco. I know this because I buy the bag all the time. The pita bread was hard and stale. I will be calling the manager. The only decent item was the hummus and the chicken was okay. What a waste of my hard earned money. read more

I went to sabas because my friends suggested it. Their service was rude and throwing straws at all over the table. I asked for a chipotle burger and they charged me for fries that I didn't ask for and I didn't know it was a charge until after I finished. This is our first visit to this restaurant in years. Let's start by mentioning the ambiance, which is sad. The place is long, narrow, and dark. Those requiring handicap seating are literally forced to the back of this bus. The food was good enough; the mint iced tea and grilled vegetables particularly good. The combination platter we ordered was good sized and the price for what we received was very good deal. Special kudos to our server who approached her work with pleasant professionalism. Wow, wow, wow. This place is FANTASTIC!! Not only spot on for great food but spot on for amazing service!!! Our server Katrina was so wonderful in suggesting the best meals for us to order and when she heard us lament that we couldn't get two appetizers she made sure she got us a small sample of the hummus to try. That was so awesome! We had the flaming cheese for an appetizer which was delicious. My husband had the steak kabob with the baba ganoush and tabbouleh and I had the gyro meat with the roasted veggies and the Jerusalem salad. All of this was delicious and left us feeling great. Truly this was quite a gem to find this place. Don't hesitate give this place a try!
