Um...focused, upbeat, joyous conclusion. (I'm not blushing). They offer half an hour treatments for $40 or one hour treatments for $70 in traditional Thai, deep tissue, remedial, oil and sports massage. The massage lady who sorted my shoulder pain out had very strong hands and a no nonsense attitude - she found those nasty knots in my shoulders and neck and kneaded my muscles until I was relaxed and pain-free. I was a bit sore the next day, but in a good way. You won't find neroli infused oil burners or gentle, sitar music playing in the background here. Pens is all about getting straight to the point, and that's aaaalright with me.

Stiff necked and with a tension headache, I required the hands of pro to soothe me physically in a relaxing atmosphere where I could get a good bit of time out. I totally didn't expect to find anything open, but this place was. And I'll be forever relieved it was as it turned out to be exactly what I was after. After finding they are actually located at 327 Lygon (next door to the excellent Mai Thai restaurant) I paid for an hour at $70. I was really hoping that there'd be no nasty surprises (offers of sex or similar) and was pleased to find signs in the massage room asking people not to request such things as it is very humiliating for the workers. The masseur gave me a full body work over in true Thai massage style and I enjoyed it greatly. My head ache is gone and I feel a whole lot better. If its a value for money service you're after, delivered in a no frills fashion, then get on in and support a decent business trying to do the right thing.

I would quite honestly have a massage every single day if I could afford it (and didn't sound like…read morea complete tosser by admitting I got a massage every day.) So naturally, when a new massage centre opened up down the street from me, I was quick to get in. Forget Me Not Thai Massage is a huge space, taking up two shop fronts, and really quite stunning. The interior is very traditional, dark wood, gentle Thai music and shoes off as soon as you walk in. Forget Me Not offer a mix of traditional, relaxation or deep tissue massage for 30/45/60 mins. I went for a 45 minute relaxation massage (I'd had a hard week!) and was instead treated to 60 minutes - thanks! Upon entry I was asked whether I wanted a massage on a mat on the floor or on the table. I went with table. The massage itself was great. Very relaxing, soothing music and thorough. But my beef is this... I could hear everything happening around me. I heard a lady come in with her partner and could probably repeat the entire conversation back to you. I heard the bell ringing above the door every time someone walked in, and could hear the chit chat of the staff outside my room. Normally I wouldn't mind, but when I'm basically nude on a table, it's a bit disconcerting to hear people a metre away! I walked in and was in the massage room in a mere five minutes, though I did hear other people being turned away after - an appointment may be necessary. Strangely, I seem to live in a massage hub, with at least five massage therapists within the same block - what up Brunswick East? Why are we all so stressed? Anyhoo, Forget me Not is pretty good, very cheap and offers a great massage... It's just not as relaxing as you might need.

I absolutely adored this place. I don't get massages very often but after feeling my shoulders…read moretense and tighten up from hunching over the computer all week I thought I'd treat myself. The salon is upstairs above a beauty salon and it feels like you've walked into someone's home. Someone's dream designer home. From the lush blankets to the vintage art work to the cute cushions, the place oozes warmth and friendliness. Both the staff were super friendly and they spend the time to make you feel very welcome. You fill in a form prior to your massage and on that you state what you're hoping to get from the massage. They then go through it with you and say where they are going to work. I felt all the knots being massaged out and definitely came out relaxed and revived. I just wish it went for longer!

After a 1 hr Remedial massage by Brendan, booked on a whim, I'm counting on being a regular!…read more The venue and staff made me feel completely comfortable and at ease (even though I'm generally not too relaxed in new environments) with clear and open communication. The massage was perfectly tailored to the problem areas specified, with a wonderful, light scented oil. I was also pleasantly surprised by some light stretching throughout, helping my muscles resettle feeling limber. I'm looking forward to going back regularly, and getting a sixth visit half price with the Milk & Honey loyalty card, but it's also perfect for a one off visit.
