I come to Sabai every time I am in Brno because it is amazing. There are various locations around the city, but this is the easiest one to get to from the train station/city center. From the station it is an easy ~10 min. walk up Husova street.
If you are a foreigner, the great thing about Sabai is that the front desk people speak English. So, you can call and make an appointment or show up there and have no problems with communication. Their website it also in English, so you can see all the options. They specialize in Thai massage, but they have a huge range of all types of massage, including prenatal, relaxation, face and foot massage. Every time I come I get a traditional Thai massage because they just do them so well and it is hard to find.
**a word of warning about Thai massage** If you have never had a Thai massage before you should research it before getting your first one. It is amazing for a deep, penetrating massage and really getting things realigned, but it is very different from your traditional Swedish massage. First, you are on a padded mat on the floor, not a table (I should mention that they also do Thai massage on tables if you prefer). Also, the therapist works very closely with your body, pushing and pulling on you, sometimes sitting on you and stepping on your back. The biggest shock some people have is that it can be painful at some times and very physical. After all that is said, a bit of discomfort is well worth how amazing you feel after. It always makes my back and neck pain disappear immediately.
The location is really nice and there is a locker room where you can shower, use the toilet and change into robes. The decor of the place is really lovely and the massage rooms are large, separated from one another, have very dimmed lighting and are playing nice relaxing music. Afterwards you can sit in the lobby and relax and they always have hot tea ready for you. Best of all the prices are a fraction of what you would pay in the US or most of western Europe. read more
