Trotz einer sehr langen Wartezeiten am Ende auf die Rechnung (22 Minuten finden wir völlig übertrieben, dem Service ist da wohl ein interner Kommunikationsfehler unterlaufen), kann Alphafuchs das Mediterrane Durlach empfehlen. Uns persönlich gefällt die Durlacher Filiale mehr als jene in Karlsruhe, da man sich dort einfach gemütlicher fühlt (die Tische stehen nicht in direkter Nähe des Eingangsbereiches und der Theke). Am Schluss muss ich ein weiteres Mal erwähnen, dass es mich immer wieder wundert, wenn das Restaurantmanagement nicht versteht, dass zu stark parfümiertes Bedienungspersonal für die Gäste lästig ist, da jeder seinen eigenen Parfüm-Geschmack hat. Außerdem kollidiert das Parfüm des Services oft mit jenem der Gäste (was im Mediteranne Durlach der Fall war und somit die Mischung aus dem Terre d'Hermes meines Fuchses und des Bedienungsparfüms nur schwer auszuhalten war). Very nice indeed. Moving to the food side of things, there menu offers everything you would expect: Burgers (regular beef, American Angus beef, chicken), pulled pork, hot dogs and chilli, and of course milk shakes. There's also a few expected salads and appetizers. Sadly, steaks are missing. We ordered several different burgers, and everyone left happy. Mine was the Farmer's, with bacon and an omelette, which was a nice difference compared to the usual fried egg. Prices are neither low nor high considering the style of the restaurant and the cost of similar joints. Overall, I would say a recommended choice for American dining in Karlsruhe.
