As for the electricians... particularly "Andrew", I can't say the same. In fact, Andrew made such a horrendous mistake in wiring the system that it sent a surge through the whole house and fried all the light fixtures, light bulbs and several appliances. The fridge went off and we lost 100s of dollars of food - at least Evolve Energy replaced the light fixtures and bulbs, paid for the lost food and the fried appliances. But it all seems a bit careless, especially after we were left sitting in the dark and Andrew wouldn't come out to fix it since "he was enjoying time off with his family" according to the replacement guy they sent out to restore power. It's winter here, btw, and we're sitting in a powerless house in December. Finally they seemed to get the job done - months later than they said, HOWEVER, today the power was off and we discovered the fridge was not on the back up circuits (so goodbye food again...) - found out Andrew was insisting we never asked for it to be put on the back up. He was given a WRITTEN list of what was needed and the fridge was on there as "very important", but obviously he didn't do it. Instead of the fridge, he put the WASHER on backup. Yeah, right. The first thing we're going to do in a blackout is wash clothes... I guess we were lucky - some companies are said to be even worse; take your money and no solar panels. It's the "Wild West" for this stuff. At least we got solar panels and the lights stayed on... but for the amount of money, you'd think they could do better work. I just hope to god the rest of the system is usable in an emergency ... guess we will find out the hard way.
