Just a few minutes away from charming Simrishamn you'll find this wonderful beach. A nice, clean,…read moreyellow and wide stretch of sand. Close-by there's also a camping and a lido / public bath (with entrance fees). But on a sunny day, there's no reason to there, just stay here at this beautiful beach. Even in summer there weren't that many visitors, so you'll easily find a quiet spot. Parking is to be found right at the southern end (6 hours free), so it's very convenient. What we've learned on that day is, that swedish weather can change within minutes. It was the brightest and sunniest day when a few dark clouds came closer....and the came up fast. Withing minutes we were in the middle of a real rainstorm, which lasted only about 15minutes. Enough to make us soaking wet. From then on we always kept some clothes to change in the car.

On the Plus-side this is (even in full summer) a very quiet, white-sanded beach. If there aren't…read moremany visitors around it's even ok to let your dog roam around free. It's quiet, relaxing little beach and is easy accessible by foot and there a big parking lot as well just down at the Böste läge Bus Stop. So why only 3 stars? Well, the odor coming from the seaweed was almost unbearable these days we visited. Oceans do smell sometimes, I'm aware of that. But this smell here was really beating most beaches we've visited. So it was impossible to stay a bit. I believe in the off-season this place will be a perfect little getaway, but these days in summer it wasn't.

It's in Västra Hamnen. The entire stretch is basically a "beach" where people sunbathe. This beach…read moreisn't really a beach. It's very small and the sand is full of cute, tiny shells. It's near the water, but you have to walk a bit to get to it. There is a shack that serves refreshments. It gets packed on nice days. I passed by on my morning runs as there is a paved path beside it that connects to a great running/biking trail. If you're looking for a real beach, where water meets the sand, head down a ways to Ribersborg.
