Wish I could give "0" stars. I purchased from a high valuation sale a gas cooker, washing machine…read moreand fridge/freezer. I could not see it as not only am I disabled, but because I am on the high vulnerable listing and at the time of the sale my husband and I were not allowed out. We also lived in Lancaster, so would not be able to travel so far to view the items. The cooker arrived with the back pushed in and no plug on. We had a plug put on and it wouldn't work, the damage must have caused it severe damage. The fridge we put on and despite leaving on for hours, it won't go cold. The washing machine we have not tried yet, as there is a screwed leg missing, so we need to buy one before using it. I wrote to them devastated, as we used all our pension savings from the past 12 months to renew our white goods. Now we have nothing to cook on or anywhere to refrigerate or freeze our food. Our old items we had to get removed from our bungalow to make room, these were collected by a metal scrap yard. If we had room in our small bungalow we would have kept hold of them, as despite being 15 years old, they did work. I wrote to them to explain the issues, but got a message back saying they don't refund and we should have viewed them. Firstly we could not and secondly we could not switch on appliances in the store. Basically despite being on a high valued online auction site and no mention of the damage to the cooker, which was not mentioned in the advert, it is our fault for buying goods that don't work. In fact they said their buyers buy as spares or repairs, if that was the case then why not say that on their site. All they say is these goods could have been a returned item, so no idea if working or not. There must be some legal issue with regards to selling items that do not work and rob poor people off their savings. They might as well have conned us out of our savings or just came to us and stole the money from our pocket. Please, please, if you read this, do not buy from this site, unless you want to risk throwing your money into the bin. I have no idea what we will do now, as we are left in limbo. I pray there is not a second surge of the virus where I live, as now we can only buy what we need to eat on that day and to cook with a microwave oven. I am totally devastated that I have been ripped off by this company, why do people do this to not only pensioners, but to the disabled as well. One of things I love about living in Levenshulme is looking round the Antiques Village on a Sunday…read moreafternoon. There are three floors of pre-war furniture, household objects, chandeliers, toys, medals, vintage jewellery and other collectibles. Over the years I've noticed the prices going up a little but it's still great value for money. The last time I went I came away with a beautiful vintage sewing box that I found amongst various ornaments and bric-á-brac. In the basement you'll find a café which does a mean weekend breakfast and serves good food throughout the day. The building itself is also noteworthy. Built in 1898, it was originally the Town Hall. The original mouldings and green tiles are still existence. The Antiques Village is a five minute walk from Levenshulme Station and a ten minute drive from Manchester City Centre.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE experience with these people. What I received was not as described,…read morethey charged my account twice for over 1500.00, kept promising to ship and refund my VAT and there was ALWAYS an excuse why they couldn't do it. I even looked up the form they needed because they said they didn't know and had to get it from the courier...which was actually just Royal Mail. Still nothing....after contacting them and checking in regularly. Always a different excuse or no reply at all. Finally I leave a factual review that was less catching then this one, and get an immediate reply that they will not refund my VAT despite promising to do so in writing. I guess I should be surprised to be treated unprofessionally and vindictively and with sarcasm, based on some of the other online reviews I read. If you want to risk being treated badly and receiving items not as described...try these people. But there are many wonderful auction houses in the U.K. that have been a pleasure wot work with and know how to treat customers. I would steer widely clear of this one.
