I spoke to Medicare who confirmed that this claim was NOT his primary insurance. I also spoke with the workman's comp commission, who faxed them all of the pertinent information for him to be admitted. They still swore this was his primary insurer, which it is not! He was hit while driving a work truck and they awarded him a lifetime award for his knee injury, which is out of his control. The only way to have this removed is to have my father engage in a negotiation settlement. He is in the hospital and has been pending discharge for days! How can he engage in a settlement when he needs to help! 48 hours of efforts for them to tell me NO and for them to be unwilling to help- TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Imagine someone without resources trying to navigate this difficult process, they should be ashamed-- they are supposed to help others, not make it worse!

I would not recommend Heritage Hall to care for an elderly relative. My father was there for a…read morecouple of months and it was a terrible experience. We had problems with both the staff and the administration. Most of the nurse assistants were very nice and helpful but they are overworked & short staffed and my father would often be neglected by them. I would have to go find someone to assist him in urinating, etc., and that often turned into an extensive search as often not a single staff member was in sight. I am a male and one of the nurse assistants, a black lady named Sarah, made sexual advances towards me on several occasions. She would grab me in a bear hug and rub her body up against mine and attempt to kiss me on the neck. The first time it happened, I just pushed her off me and thought she got the message. The second time it happened I complained to the Social Services Director, a lady named Maureen, and told her what had transpired and that I was offended by it. Maureen was very rude and actually made a joke about it and said that was how Sarah shows affection. Sarah continued to work there even after this. Also my Dad had given Sarah some peanut brittle for Christmas and after it was gone, she started bugging him for more. She was relentless to the point where he really became upset by her persistence. I also complained to Maureen about this but as in the other issue, she just brushed it aside. I had elected to do my father's laundry instead of having it done on site by their laundry service. My father's clothes started disappearing and to the point where we lost about a dozen articles of clothing. Apparently even though I had notified them I would be doing the laundry, his clothes were still being picked up, taken to their laundry area and then mysteriously disappearing. When my father finally left the facility and came home, I wrote Heritage Hall a short letter regarding his missing clothes & that I would like them back but they never responded. Plenty other facilities to choose over this one and I would certainly not recommend Heritage Hall.

After telling them I was unsure of my discharge date and that the duscharge planner would notify them, I was told that was common and would not be a problem. the discharge planner told me the day before discharge, everything was arranged with Capital Home Health and that they would be picking me up at the hospital at 2 pm. That night around 9 pm I received a message from Capital Home Health that they were still working on finding a caregiver. The day of my discharge the hospitals discharge planner received continuous calls from the home care agency with initial multiple delays and then told the person with whom this had been arranged could not pick me up or provide 24 hours of care. After a tremendous amount of effort by the hospital's discharge planner, ultimately at around pm, I was taken to my hotel on a stretcher by an ambulance. the home care agency called me sometime after that, I believe the following day. By that time I was so stressed and angry, I had no interest in talking to them. Basically I had to take care of myself. I gave Capital Home Health Care several weeks min advance notice and then checked with them before traveling to Maryland. ragtime I was told "no problem". Don't believe them. They are absolutely unreliable this cause stress to me and hours to the hospital's discharge planner to make other arrangements. i was stuck alone to care for myself after major surgery because it was impossible to get last minute home care

Not their best service. Our family had a very mixed…read moreexperience with Capital Caring Health. On the positive side, many of the nurses were wonderful--kind, gentle, and compassionate. The facility itself is lovely and peaceful, which is important during such a difficult time. However, our overall experience was deeply affected by the behavior of one staff member, Shannon Connors. We are a large family, and after feeling pushed into moving our mother to this facility, we hoped for understanding and compassion. Instead, Shannon Connors was disrespectful and rude toward our mother and toward my siblings who were visiting. Her loud, inconsiderate behavior added unnecessary stress and pain during our mother's final days. Her lack of communication skills and apparent inability to interact sensitively with a grieving family made an already heartbreaking situation much worse. Rather than feeling supported, we felt sadness and anger because of how we were treated. We loved our mother deeply, and those last days should have been handled with care, dignity, and compassion. I sincerely hope no other family has to experience this lack of compassion during such a vulnerable time.
