And that's where the good review ends. As soon as the doors closed, the pilot informed us that Gatwick was fogged in and that we would not be able to depart for at least three hours and that there were other planes in front of us who had priority on the runway. We were not allowed to leave the aircraft in case the airline was given the okay to fly. It could have been bearable had Easy Jet offered complimentary drinks and snacks, but alas, they didn't. It took a very long time to get a small cup of water, and all other drinks were at the regular cost. There were so many kids on board that they allowed them to run up and down the plane. Once we finally took off, the flight was smooth, but then Gatwick was closed and we circled for a very long time. The pilot informed us that he had enough gas to circle a bit longer, then, he'd have to go to Paris. It was all very frustrating. The crew were very nice, but weren't authorized to give anything out. Easy Jet was going to make us stay on the plane, the least it could do is hand out a drink and a snack at no cost. A one and half hour flight turned into eight grueling hours. The airline gets the extra star for a safe flight, but other than that, I wouldn't book it again.

The…read moreflight from Athens left over an hour early and they had us purchase another ticket because they didn't let us get on the original plane the plane. 12 hours later when we were boarding the plane finally they didn't let us take our carry on bag (size was within regulations) because they said they were a "low budget" airlines and only the first 75 bags get loaded. My seat was 7A. The staff was rude and hostile. My flight from Santorini to Athens got cancelled but they did not inform us till 5 mins before the plane was suppose to leave. They said they were going to take us to get dinner and to a hotel and then put us on a ferry the following day. We were at the airport at 8pm and did not get to a hotel until almost 3am. As a human being all a person needs is communication and honesty.I understand things happen but they should not treat their passengers like rag dolls. They tell us to go out of the airport and then in and then out and then in again. When you ask for information or updates they tell you calm down in a hostile tone. The ferry is suppose to leave us at the port in Athens at midnight and they are not providing transportation to the airport. Hence I booked a flight from airport to airport. If I needed to book a ferry I would have. I am currently still waiting to get off Santorini and it's pretty obvious that a boat cannot dock because of the current. Once again no communication making us feel lied to, cheated, and robbed. It's really disappointing that they have no solution, communication, and do not care for their passengers. No human being should ever be treated the way Volotea treats us.

The Volotea flight on 9/1/24 from Mykonos to Athens (a 35-40 minute flight) was more than 90…read moreminutes late. As a result, we missed our connection, lost our upgraded seats, had to pay for a hotel, etc., etc. If they had notified us earlier, we could have taken an earlier flight on Aegean. Never again. Do no fly with them unless you have a least 3 hours until your connecting flight.
