In fact, during my last visit to Dr. Myint, she warned me at the appointment that I scheduled my annual too early and I may suffer out of pocket expenses at the hands of my insurance if I stayed. She recommended postponing my annual for another month or so to avoid these expenses. My trust and appreciation only grew for Dr. Myint at this visit. I always highly recommend the Polyclinic to friends and family, and Dr. Myint has solidified this recurring recommendation even more. I went to Erane Myint in February, 2014. She cleaned my ears as part of what I thought was a preventative exam and then charged me $131 without informing me of that. She also called the visit an office visit instead of preventative and I was charged over $300 total because my insurance only pays in full for preventative care. I told her at the February visit that I was looking for a doctor who would prescribe OTHER THAN NARCOTIC drugs for pain & inflammation. I'm aware the DEA is on the hunt for doctors who over-prescribe narcotics or do so on the phone when it's required in person. However, what I needed over the last four days was a simple muscle relaxer and Dr. Myint insisted I come in to get the prescription even though it would be days later. Therefore, I had to go through days of muscle spasm before she would see me and she couldn't diagnose a muscle spasm that wasn't happening at that moment, but gave me the muscle relaxers anyway. The only difference was my days of pain waiting to see her. I believe Dr. Myint to be greedy and not compassionate. She will force you to come in for anything (instead of allowing a phone consultation) and then code the visit to make herself more money.

While browsing online looking for something else I stumbled across the two one-star reviews for Dr…read more Jaeger and I could not let them go without providing another, more-positive perspective. I have been a client of Dr. Jaeger's for over 5 years. When I discovered my healthcare insurance wasn't covering a "facility fee" a local hospital was billing me for just sitting in an office chair -- it wasn't even in one of their clinics -- and that it was doubling the price of my visits, I had to find another provider ASAP. I found Dr. Jaeger to be very responsive and open to taking a new client (and he doesn't charge a "facility fee" either). His Redmond office is very comfortable and in a convenient location to easily get to by car or bus. I brought my list of questions to ask him to ensure that his philosophy of care was acceptable to me (everybody should "interview" a new, prospective doctor). I had discovered that many docs will apparently just assume you need to stay on whatever medication "that works" for life without further question! One of my questions was if he believed it was possible to be healed of some conditions (e.g. depression). His response was that it is possible. (That alone was encouraging to me.) For patients who want to explore a change in treatment and if there is good reason to believe that their current circumstances and/or condition indicate a medication may no longer be medically necessary, he is quite willing to explore it with them. He explained that his approach would be to reduce the dose and see if it makes a positive difference (or potentially switch to a different medication if helpful). If improvement is achieved and maintained for (at least) 3 months, then it is likely that particular medication may no longer be required. I want to stress, that it was only something that would be considered if the patient wanted to explore reducing (or changing) a medication or it was, of course, medically necessary. I found this philosophy of care refreshing after having a previous doctor that seemed to enjoy endlessly "tweaking" my meds and never considered the idea of whether they actually might not be needed anymore! On a more personal level, I have also found Dr. Jaeger to be a kind, thoughtful, compassionate and empathetic man. During difficult times in my life (e.g. family deaths, job loss, other family issues, etc.), he has always been considerate and thoughtful in his approach of gently probing potential areas that might be significant to consider in an overall care plan and brought a perspective and insight that was always encouraging. Bottom line: 1) I found him to be responsive when I sought him out; 2) he has always been kind, thoughtful, compassionate, and encouraging; 3) he is quite willing to continue a current plan of care if it's working, but is also quite willing to explore other options for care if *I* want to and/or it is medically necessary. I have no reservations whatsoever in highly recommending him. BTW, if you're into bicycles, you'll definitely enjoy your visits. I am not myself, but still have fun asking him about the different ones he uses for commuting and keeps parked in the corner of his office.

I brought records, radiology reports and films as well as an extremely extensive history. He sent in his PA who didn't listen to half of what I had to say and then relayed a quarter of that to the doctor. When I actually met with Dr Steege, he obviously had not reviewed the extensive description of my medical background and then went on to tell me that if I'd dealt with pain for so long in my life I should just be used to it and go about my days. He said if I was looking for drugs I should just go to an ER, I haven't used a drug to manage my pain in years. I presented with new symptoms and he shrugged them off. Being a military family it is a necessity to re-establish care every few years-this is by far the worst attempt. Do not waste your time with a doctor who quite obviously feels he is above and beyond needing to read and review the medical documentation presented to him and his office-complete waste of time. Had I seen reviews of him in detail, I would not have followed through with the initial appoint and would have gone elsewhere as I have now.

Without touching it and barely, I mean barely looking at it and no xray, he diagnosed me with a torn Achilles unwanted me to stay off my foot for an undetermined amount of time. When I returned for my 2nd visit without much change, he raised his voice and called me the worst patient he's ever had. WHAT? Never went back. After seeing another specialist, I was diagnosed with tendinitis of the achilles after an xray. Some PT and a little time and I'm good. Wouldn't send my worst enemy to this jerk.

I have a stiff big toe, hallux limitus, if you will. Which just means stiff toe. It's been developing for the last 14 years now, and had been developing for 8 years at the time of my appointment with this doctor. He barely looked at my foot. He didn't lay a finger on it. He didn't request an x-ray. What he did tell me, and I quote, was this, "Mrs. Benson, your problem is that you don't want to get old." Really, doctor who claims to love mountaineering on his website? That's my problem? I was 32 years old, fit, a newly wed and I couldn't even walk a few miles -much less mountaineer - because I was in so much pain. He told me there was nothing I could do beyond fusing the joint and that only an orthotic would help (it didn't). I left his office crying, he was such a jerk. 6 more years and my hip, pelvic floor, and knee completely out of whack because of my condition, I steeled myself to the mission of finding a foot doctor who would at the very least x-ray my foot and give me an opinion that was something more than "You are getting old". My new doctor, the first one I saw, ordered x-rays immediately, took one look, and said I should've had surgery years ago. I am one week out from having the spur on my joint removed, and my toe already has more mobility than it has in YEARS. I am so excited to be able to walk more than a mile again after I heal more. I just can't believe I took this Dr. Grant's word for that long and did nothing but damage the cartilage a little further. Don't make the same mistake I did! See someone else who is truly into preserving the body after an injury so that you can be active for years to come. I barely have a scar left from the invasive procedure and due to the quality of the surgery recovered more quickly than anyone expected. Most importantly, he took the time to listen and was patient in answering questions and guiding me through my cancer journey. He took into consideration my input yet never veered from making the right medical decisions for me. I'm alive today because of Dr. Wallin.

Last month a very large polyp was found inside my colon, so I met with several of the best…read moregastroenterologists in the area. After discussions they all recommended removing my entire colon even though there was no evidence of cancer. After hearing this I had a different idea of how I wanted things to go. My wonderful wife agreed with me and did exhaustive research, luckily finding the INCREDIBLE Dr. Ulrik Wallin at the Polyclinic. Dr. Wallin listened to my concerns, and talked of options the others never mentioned. He suggested a plan for me to review based on my concerns. Even though Dr. Wallin had reviewed all the previous reports and images, he asked to do an exploratory colonoscopy to see for himself if his new plan would be possible. Three days later he did a robotic orthoscopic resection, removing the large polyp (that was found to have a very small malignant growth) with 100% success and no "outdoor plumbing" as I like to call it. No longer do I have to fret over a lifetime of colostomy bags! After surgery, he continued to follow up in the hospital to see how I was doing. He is an amazingly gifted colorectal surgeon, with a sincere interest in bettering (or saving) the lives of patients. Terrific personality, great listener, brilliant surgeon! We owe so much to Dr. Wallin and are forever grateful for finding him.
