As a first time home buyer and small business owner, navigating the process of getting a mortgage…read moreis daunting. Kim made the process as painless as possible. He took his time to explain things to my husband and I when we had questions or uncertainties. He really worked hard for us and we're very happy with the results!

This was my second time using The Mortgage Center and Kim Seifert. The first time was painless and…read moreefficient and so I proceeded with a second. I wanted to consolidate two existing mortgages into one. I felt I would best be helped by someone knowledgeable with this transaction. The process began early in the year as the first mortgage was maturing in April. We decided to wait for the second mortgage to mature in October, then proceed. I restarted the process 8 weeks prior to the next mortgage maturation, the beginning of September. Unfortunately, the company that was being used decided it didn't want to consolidate and therefore, I had to leave the one mortgage alone. The other mortgage was going to be moved from one institute to another and they failed to meet the deadline at that bank and I was going to be charged $1600 to take it out, as they had flipped it to a 6 month open. Again, this was out of my hands. I should have been advised to just leave my second mortgage where it was long before a lawyer became involved. This is advice I was never given. After all, was said and done, my bank offered me a lower rate than the Mortage Center was able to secure and I was charged $600 for lawyer fees for a deal that never happened. So I have paid $600 for two appraisals, which only last 3 months and $600 in lawyer fees for a bill of $1200 for no deal. I would recommend you stick with your bank at this time and work with them. One-click and I had renewed without any hassles. I absolutely put myself in this position, but I want to warn others to be careful before leaving your banks.
