This was our first time visiting here. I don't consider myself an Indian foodie so I depended on the staff to help me out. They went out of their way to make sure the total experience was worth it. The food was amazing and huge in quantity. The prices were very reasonable. If you haven't had Indian food or afraid to try it, this is the place to start out. You will not regret it. We'll be back. Highly recommend.

When I heard that the owners of Anokha were opening up a second spot in the Richmond area, I was thrilled. Today, my family finally popped in to check out their lunch scene & it did not disappoint. Midlothian has been in need of a SOLID Indian staple, and we finally have it. Their prices for lunch are insanely reasonable, about $14-16. Each lunch entree comes with soup or salad (they always vary, which is awesome - today was lentil soup & a salad with a pineapple vinaigrette), side of the day (beans today), rice, big basket of hot buttered naan, & a dessert. You likely will leave with leftovers too - so how can you beat that price? Being inside, you would never guess this used to be a Wendy's. The ambiance is wonderful, the attention to detail in every corner didn't go unnoticed. The seating is comfy & they are very kid friendly - even brought my son a mango lassi on the house. Everyone that works there is incredibly friendly too. We will be coming back again and again and again. And again.

This is an upscale Indian restaurant with a beautiful decor, full bar, and delicious unique dishes. The personnel are very friendly and attentive. They will help you understand the various offerings. Ample parking. The entrance is not well marked but is on the East side of the building.

Food was very good. Clean new restaurant. Service was good. No complaints. They give you a bowl of complimentary spicy crisps which were interesting.

Excellent all around. I walked in thinking wow this place is really pretty. It's medium upscale vibe. However I enjoyed it wasn't too quiet. People flowed in quickly and soon it was full and delightful. The food was fantastic. One plate is enough for two to share should you prefer. I also got a delight drink. It was good. Service was kind and friendly.

Excellent meal! Gorgeous interior decor. Started with the Chili Milli Gobi. It was crispy and delicious. For my entree I ordered Tandori Chicken Tikka. It was still tender and juicy. The vegetables were fresh and tasty. Hubby ordered the Sabjiwala and he barely let me taste it since he wanted it all to himself. To accompany we ordered Garlic Naan. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. Service was good but it was good we went on the early side. As we were finishing, the place got packed on a Wednesday!! We will definitely be coming back!!

Many are saying their tomato-based gravy dishes taste like they're just using canned pasta sauce. Weak spice levels #realeaters

We parked across the street from Tulsi. There was ample parking in the lot, and street parking,…read moretoo, on a Wednesday around 8 pm. The decor here is fabulous. Tulsi feels extravagant and upscale from the moment you enter. The lighting was lovely, each of the different lamps exquisitely lining the walls provided a golden hue throughout the space. We were seated immediately with no reservations. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, great for couples to catch up and talk about their days or get to know one another. Our server was attentive and polite. He gave us time to peruse the menu at our leisure, while he brought out the gratis before-the-meal appetizer. It was like a crispy naan with three distinctly different sauces. It really was quite delicious. I ordered the Chicken Konkani and my partner had the Chicken Curry. As connoisseurs of a great many Indian restaurants, we quite enjoyed the entrees at Tulsi. I savored the coconut creaminess of the Konkani. I also tried my partner's curry, and it had a rich aromatic flavor as well. We didn't try dessert because we were simply too stuffed by the end. The choices were almost tempting enough to persuade me, but we refrained. Tulsi is for lovers, just like Virginia, so we were in great company. I wholeheartedly recommend giving this spot a chance. We will definitely be back to partake in the fine dining experience on offer here.

It was a beautiful day out and I didn't wanna go home to figure out dinner. I wanted to be out and…read moreabout amongst the peoples! Picked my sons up....they didn't wanna hang with me, even a little. SOOOO I went to dinner at Tulsi. BY MYSELF The place would be great for a date or a little romance. The ambiance was a lil sultry as the sun went down. The amount of food they give you is substantial. I had the lamb tandoori it came out sizzling like fajitas or the east(I'm sorry if that was racist) The naan was delish But the STAR was the lemon-drop martini I had. Bartender must have saw, me a solo diner that had been abandoned by her own younglings and felt for me because that thang was STRONG and I appreciated it. I was a little tipsy(I don't usually drink so it did not take a lot) it was cool because my big one will drive. At the end I had plenty of leftovers that my sons will get NONE of. It was enjoyable. Will recommend
