They sold me a car that was around 4 thousand dollars above KBB dealer pricing. Before that they tried to pawn off all the crap cars on me until I was going to leave . Then I Decided on a used charger. When finalising, I waited 2 hours for finance to meet with me. Turns out those idiots forgot about us sitting there . No owners manual with the car and I was given a key fob from a Chrysler that was programmed to the charger. The physical key didn't even work for the locks. Had to get them to call a locksmith out and rekey it. The only reason im giving three stars is because the car has and is running great with no issues for nearly 6 months now, but I will never return to purchase a second vehicle. read more

we purchased a brand new 2021 Mustang from Rusty Eck a week and a half ago. I just barely drove it home from the dealership before I noticed that it was leaking antifreeze. There seems to be a complete lack of quality control. We traded in our last brand new 2020 f150 because of some mechanical issues & some issues with the paint which we didnt notice priorto purchasing it. I feel cheated and wronged, to spend $50,000+ on a new vehicle & to have these issues is unfathomable. read more

Easy transaction with everything being over the phone. This is MY 5th new ford in a row. This is also the first and the last car I pay over MSRP. taking advantage of customers because you can't fill the parking lot is wrong. Dakota was easy to deal with and very nice. Not only did I get the complete run-around from the finance department, but the final straw was today when I made an appointment in the service department. I purchased a brand new 2019 EcoSport 2 months ago and haven't even made a payment yet and my touch screen is not working. When I spoke with service I was told they don't offer loaner cars but I could have the dealership take me somewhere or I could rent a car there for $35.00 a day. That is absolutely ridiculous! A brand new car and I have to pay for a rental or let them take me somewhere!! I need a car, I need my car but unfortunately mine isn't working. There options are not acceptable and I will never purchase another car from them. Whatever happened to customer service? They need a lesson on how to keep a customer and I would love to be the one to teach them! read more

Bought my used escape a little over a month ago. They gave me a 30 day moving parts warranty -- Lo and behold my airconditioning decided to act up a few days after the warranty expired. If they cared about good customer experience, they wouldn't be telling me -- sorry it's not our problem anymore and focused on solutions to keep me happy so I'd have a positive experience rather than losing a client forever. Will never buy from them ever again. Been hearing a lot of negative experiences from other people as well. And they gave me the runaround when I called them -- sales guy said he can't make decisions and to call the service guy, service guy tells me to call the sales guy then sales guy tells me to call customer service guy.... Rusty Eck Ford is a rip off. They should wear masks when they hold you up. Customer service is awful. You are just a number and a cash machine to them. Charge over $100/hr for labor. You would think they have Doctor in front of their names. Please never go there. There are local mechanics who can fo the job for half the price and treat you like a human being. Salesman was great. Service department never fixed the problem of our backup sensor constantly going off. Also asked about doors not shutting and they never really answered. At some point they said if we cant fix it before your 30 days because we didn't by warranty they would charge us even though we had brought in. So finally gave up. NOW a battery that they said they put in new for us, that is a Ford battery and only 1 year old, they refuse to swap out and make right. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER!. Have to say this was the worst experience I've ever had purchasing a vehicle. Not only did they give me very little for my trade-in, they turned around and sold it for $7000 more than what I got for it. The whole time I was there I felt like they kept pushing me just so they could make a buck. Didn't really care about my feelings or concerns. While I was doing paperwork with finance all he cared about pretty much was receiving my down payment. I live 2 hours away from the dealership and I was thankful that they were able to drive to me for my co-signer to sign their portion of the paperwork. Me not asking and just thinking they would send me a copy of all my paper work, no they didn't. After 2 months of owning it I finally called and asked for a copy. The guy told me that he would have it taken care of and emailed to me. Never received anything. Two days later I was in Wichita and stopped at the dealership and asked for it. The guys response was "Was I supposed to be printing you off or sending you something. I don't recall ever talking to you". Uh, thanks Adam... Besides all that, the Jeep I bought started having issues the first week of owning it. Kept calling and asking what they could do to fix the problem and make it right and all I kept getting from them was "you need to take it somewhere". No help what's so ever. Me and my wife had a horrible experience as we may not have the best credit, better than most. Arrive at the dealership at 9am and left at almost 5 pm with nothing to show for it. Got the run around all day. Approved to maybe to not approved to we are working on it to still a couple days later with a manager telling us ok approved for this much and then texting my wife later and saying not approved. What is it!? Never go here and to top it off they ran her credit 7 times! We emailed the general manager and still nothing so here we are. Please stay far away unless you want to waste your time. read more

We were looking for a new vehicle and chose Rusty Eck in Wichita, Kansas, only because they were the only ones in our area with COSTCO pricing. We had an appointment with Dakota set for 1200 on Saturday which was confirmed by phone that morning. We showed up 5 minutes early and were told that Dakota had some kind of family emergency when Devon introduced himself. We were clear that we were looking for a transit van or F150 and that we were there only to get a feel for the vehicles and pricing so we could go home and make an informed decision. We looked at the models with him for about 15 minutes and he seemed to understand what we needed and what paperwork we were asking for when he left us to get the information. Approximately 20 minutes later he came back to get more clarification and tell us Dakota was back and could help us. 25 minutes after that Dakota came out, apologized that he got tied up with another customer and asked us again what we were looking for. That took us aback because we thought that whole time (45 minutes) someone was working on getting us the information. We gave him and his manager (I assume) the information again but he only focused on one of the vehicles and didn't bother to ask about the other. 10 minutes later Dakota comes back for my husband's drivers license and COSTCO information, okay whatever, by then we were fed up with the whole process anyway. 20 minutes later they show up with a window sticker printout without the specific pricing information we had requested. At this time, an hour and a half later, we told them that we were leaving due to their horrible customer service. Instead of apologizing and trying to fix the situation so that we might consider coming back, the manager(?) asked for his paper copy back. -A family emergency at the exact time we had an appointment, which resolved itself 35 minutes later. -Time wasted providing our requirements multiple times to individuals who were either too incompetent, or didn't care. -An attitude from sales staff that would indicate our interest in purchasing a vehicle was not a top priority for them. We will happily drive the two to two and a half hours to a participating Ford dealership in order to never walk into the Rusty Eck dealership again. read more

Never give them your contact information (they will continue to contact you years after you even take them to small claims court). Dishonest and untrustworthy in all aspects of my encounters with them (lied about incentives, availability, and service on a new car sale I did, then screwed me over on a used car sale for a friend). if i could, i'd leave no stars or even in the negatives.. but since we've been here the first time to buy our truck (in january of 2021, it's now october 2021) they've gone thru 5+ finance people. as we've had to completely redo our paperwork 3x. - this cost us on our warranty. the first finance guy had promised us this warranty & we agreed upon it. somehow it got lost in the paperwork & now we're stuck with a lower warranty than we had originally agreed upon & they REFUSE to fix it still. & then we had to get the truck in the shop 3x in the first month. & they were absolutely awful w the service they took incredibly too long. & then would only make matters worse. it's now october & we had taken the truck in early-mid april & they're just not getting us back in to get the part to fix what they MESSED UP originally... this issue wasn't there until after they worked on the truck.. but i finally called them back in september after giving up on calling weekly in june. & they inform me that their service guy we've been dealing w is gone.. & when we take truck in today, they don't even have the notes on what all's wrong with the truck... bottom line, they can't keep their help & it's us, their paying customers who have to deal with their own internal issues.. just such a shame.. i wouldn't recommend anyone shop for their vehicles here.. this was my husbands first time vehicle shopping from dealers & by far.. the worst ever experience for anyone especially first time buyers... read more

in December 2012 I came to rusty to buy a ford fusion we negotiated a price, I signed papers gave them a deposist. it turned out the had they sold a car tome that was not available. They tried the switched on me, 3 times for 3 different cars... each time they tried to increase the price for reasons that had nothing to do with me or the LEGAL document I signed. So salesman worked on a car deal for me, called/texted several times trying to get me over there... told him we would come over but would prob be late, around 7:30.. was told no worries we will stay as late as needed. We get there they pull car around. It had been in a wreck, wasn't told that upfront..there is damage to the grill, was told they weren't gonna do anything about that.. wasn't good service acted like they did t really care I just drove over an hour to get there. Before you purchase from Rusty Eck Ford, pay the money to bring in your own mechanic to do a detailed check of the vehicle. Be sure you have all tires removed and checked also. I was so excited to buy a new vehicle, but it is still costing more more money. Tire was leaking, took it to shop, has three rope plugs, NOT repairable. I am not "car savy" so as everyone at Rusty Eck Ford says, "BUYER BEWARE!" because we ain't gonna fix it! read more

Average car sales experience, with your average pushing for a sale and specials to get you in the door. I came looking for a car advertised online, and they proceeded to show us as many other cars as they could. I firmly asked for the car I wanted and we informed they do not have it anymore. Not sure if this was a trick to get us in the door or not. We eventually settled on a car with them and after fierce negotiation settled on a deal. The used car we choose had some scratches that they agreed to completely remove in writing. Needless to say after purchasing they failed to remove all the dings so we took it back and hassled to get it fixed. They finally fixed it and we were satisfied with the purchase at that point. I feel this process should have been a much less stressful experience then it was. Great facility and great selection of cars. Make sure you escalate to managers if need something done. In the long haul customer satisfaction is important to them. read more

They haven't stopped calling me or texting me since, even though i have told them multiple times that I was no longer interested because I found a dealership that I really liked (Eden auto in Valley Center) and their asking prices didn't fit my budget. I went to rusty eck to trade my vehicle for a different car that i can afford. They immediately printed my titles and had me sign them over. After I was told to sign stack of papers and lots of lines on a machine they told me the money I gave them was not enough money and had me transfer money out of a very small account that I am not to take anything out of that my husband left for me without allowing me to leave to get any help with the car or to go to the bank. The two men stayed right there in the office with me and had me call on the phone, without allowing me any privacy on the phone. Mr Fieldman would only allow me to look at 2 cars and to drive it in the parking lot. The dealer sent me home with car that I said was to knew with a blown engine and higher payments than I said I could afford. I took the car back first thing the next day, the people said that the man who sold it to me was not there and would have to come back. My daughter told me when she called the employees said he is there every day, and was in a meeting. The assistant manager called me, after I left and told me to come back in 4 days and he would fix it and get me a car I can afford. I went back 4 days later, he would only let me look at 2 cars again. He told me he took my truck to the auction the same day he took it from me and did not get as much money as he wanted out of it. I told him multiple times I can not afford either of the vehicles. He kept saying he would make it so that I could and told me his wife has been in going through cancer. I was given a paper that said the car had 24000 miles on it and it was older than the other one he let me look at and that it was under 9000. When I got the papers I found out that the 2nd car cost more than the first car and more than it did when it was brand new. The payments are higher than the first car. They had made me wait a long time said they were cleaning it, when it came back it still looked the same and smells like someone peed and maybe through up inside. The gauge inside says the car has over 56000. thousand miles on it. I tried to take it back. The dealer said he will buy it back but I have to give him 8,600 dollars. I am an old woman I can not afford 36,000.00 dollars for a car. He knows I am on a fixed income. The payments are over 450. a month the insurance is 300.00 a month it is a toyota and not old it is 2021. When my kids read the paperwork of the second car it says he took away all of the money I put down on the first car added $8600.charged me again for the dealership to set up the financing (I am the one who went to the bank) and gave me another broken car (the car that came home with me is not the car they gave me the paper for, looks like the same car in the picture.) Now I do not have a car and the bank told me the dealership did not put the right name on the paperwork and is telling me I have to sign more papers. I put that they responded quick because they came out of the door fast, took my truck fast, gave me over 40 pages of papers to sign fast, took my money really fast, and are willing to by the car back real fast if I give them more money and now I have no car. read more

I would strongly advise anyone looking for a new or used car to avoid this company.The fees here are very high. Even if you find a car for a decent price, this company will charge very high documentation and other fees that will increase the price of the car. This company relies on hype and excitement to appeal to a person's emotions in order to sell cars. This company has a very high overhead. Additionally, I've had very little help from the company supporting the car I purchased. Outside of the factor of convenience, the real value in buying a car from a dealer is the service and support of the car. I expect a car dealer to help me solve problems with my car. After my tire blew out I found out that my car had no jack or spare tire! I had the car towed back to Rusty Eck for a tire. They made me feel dishonest and kept saying "we are too busy today to help you with this" when I asked them to help find the jack and spare. I really feel that a jack and spare should have been included with the car as basic safety equipment, but they did not feel this way. This is not a company anyone should deal with. read more

Was in a spot with no a.c. blower in August in Junction City, had a 4 hour drive back to Omaha after working in the hot sun for 12 hours. Zane wouldn't give a part # to the local ford dealer I was across the street from because they wouldn't get the big $100 sale. Zanes shop was over an hour away from where we were, so two hour round trip. Then tells me he doesn't care if I ever buy a Ford again. Seems to go against everything William Ford the CEO says about Ford and the customer being the priority. Because of you Zane -I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER FORD. I'm not done yet with you Zane. Every website, every available review, Ford's corporate team, and every person I ever speak to- don't buy a ford they're not gonna help you when you need them (unless they make their $ from it).
