Three French Hens - Amazing Christmas decor!

This is a breath-taking store with highly well-appointed displays of furniture, knick-knacks (some…read moreof the rustic Americana style, some more stylized and upscale, and everything in between), sofa pillows, throws and other blankets, beautifuly framed paintings, framed prints, picture frames, dried arrangements, vases, candles, candleholders, jewelry, scarves and seasonal items. And probably much more I don't remember. Today, huge pumpkins (papier-mache??) and Halloween glitz decocated the front porch. It was quite inviting. When my friend and I entered, we were both welcomed and offered a beverage (latte or cappuccino), plus there was a carafe of lemonade with cups just inside the door. There's a lot to see in here . . . and a lot you could miss -- wonderful treasures disarmingly displayed as you might display a hutch in your dining room or a cozy wooden table for four in your kitchen. So accessories are everywhere! There were lots of little (and bigger) plaques everywhere . . . about golf, fishing, family and assorted topics. There isn't a "plaque" department -- they're just everywhere, so you could be surprised at the turn of a corner. I don't know where they get their furniture and all the other items they have, but I've never seen the likes of most of these things . . . the craftsmanship, the uniqueness, the originality! A lot of the furniture pieces are quite large, so you'd need plenty of space in your room, and know the measurements you can accommodate. I don't believe I looked at one price tag . . . . except the gorgeous antique dining room hutch, which was in the $2,400-$2,900 range, and you'd need 12-foot ceilings and at least a 20x20-foot room to display it properly, unless you have a massive foyer, and it would work there, too. But I didn't buy anything either . . . just enjoyed the ride while my friend bought some lovely home furnishings and a beautiful pair of snowflake holiday earrings that were maybe $7-$10.

Had a wonderful experience, once again, shopping for the best Christmas decorations and finding…read moredesign inspiration for our home! Thank you for your hospitality and great advice!

I was meeting a friend two doors down for dinner and got there 20 minutes early so I thought I'd…read morebrowse. What a cute store! They had some curated kitchen items that would be perfect for gift giving, other odds and ends, and some really wonderful perfumes from Oliver Fragrance Co. They had their bougie sticks and the full size bottles! I bought one of the bougie sticks (Sunset 57) which smells divine and the scent actually lasts throughout the day. Best of all, I purchased the bougie stick for $24 and the manufacturer's website have them for $22 which isn't a ridiculous price difference and I didn't have to wait or pay for shipping. They also carry B**chstix which is a brand that supports survivors of domestic abuse and is a cruelty-free product. I bought one for the friend I was meeting for dinner. The store carries many other items such as some fashion jewelry, curated baby items (clothes, books, etc), hair ties, scented candles and so much more! I am definitely going to stop by here another time since it's on my way home from work and it seems like the perfect place to find some wonderful gifts. The lady at the counter was friendly and super nice. She greeted me when I first came in and left me alone to browse. They had some sales as well. If you haven't checked this place out, you should! You never know what you'll find.

I needed organic cotton bed pillows to use when I take an allergy treatment next week and to use…read morefor three weeks afterwards. I ordered them online from another company, and that company hadn't sent me an email about the order shipping after over two weeks. I emailed them, called them, left two messages, and finally left a message saying it was too late and to cancel the order. I ordered some pillows from Sallie Home online Saturday night. Contrary to the other reviewer, I found the lady I talked to at Sallie Home, VERY helpful. I talked to her on my first call this morning (Monday morning), and she told me these pillows were special ordered from Royal Pedic, the maker, and would be drop shipped from them. She offered to call them and find out how soon they could ship them. I checked my phone an hour or two later, in the early afternoon, and there was a message from her that they could ship them to me today, the price, and to call back and let her know if I wanted her to proceed. I called her, and she ordered them in time to ship today. If I lived closer (I'm 862 miles away), I'd go there to shop and - as I used to tell my kids - "look with my eyes" only, not touch and move things, but rather talk to the nearby employee, ask questions about items I was interested in, and probably buy something, if not for myself, for a gift. Like it was with my kids, I didn't want them to touch with their hands for fear that something could be damaged. If they have valuable merchandise on display, maybe they're just trying to make sure it's not dropped, etc. I can't remember the name of the helpful lady I talked to, but she's the person who answers when you chose the second option on their phone system, the option that is about web orders. If you're ordering from out-of-town, try calling. Most of these reviews are old. Maybe they've changed their management style to "helpful" since the older reviews were written.

It seems nothing has changed. I've gathered that ppl lean towards Sallie Home, continuing to put up with their nonsense, because of the unique products you admire. I would just like to add that Sallie Home isn't the only game in town. Amelia's, in Chesterfield, MO, right down the highway, offers the same beautiful brands and products, in addition to much more; a courteous, appreciative, knowledgeable staff with impeccable business practices. You also leave with an actual product to take home and enjoy or receive in an agreed upon timely manner. I say, "Let Capitalism Reign"
