Gorgeous farm shop with beautiful plants, produce, and a fabulous butcher! The shop itself has a great selection of home goods and gift items. I wasn't impressed by the tea shop. Food was just ok. Lovely tea and cake however. read more

There are outlets of other stores situated within the centre. Craighoppers being one of them.if you've got the sort of cash they ask for the overpriced items they stock!! The restaurant does very well, having a Pensioners lunch on Tuesdays. There is a Loyalty card scheme in situ which is well rewarded we get offers of free lunches during ertain periods. The restaurant does get very hot and steamy, whih is uncomfortable.

Being lucky enough to have both a spacious front and back garden, I am always on the look out for gorgeous new plants. I usually buy my lavendar and herbs from Flower City round the corner and go to Wyevale Garden Centre for everything else. It's expensive but the stock is always varied and extremely good quality. They have plant pots, soil, gardening furniture and seeds inside and a massive selection of seasonal and perennial flowers, plants and fruit trees inside. I've bought everything from rosemary, thyme and chilli plants to dahlias and rose bushes and everything has grown beautifully. In fact, if I could afford it I'd go back tomorrow and order fig and olive trees for next spring.

It is a little more expensive than a lot of butchers or veg stalls which is why I didn't give it full marks but I think its worth it. There's some lovely animals in the grounds to keep the kids occupied too. Some very strokeable donkey's and some very smelly pigs. Incidentally, the pork here is fantastic and I'm guessing comes from the above mentioned smelly pigs!

Though the summer-long hosepipe ban which is already in force for the southeast of England may put a slight dampener (no pun intended!) on things Woodcote Green Nurseries are located a road along with a few other horticultural centres. However, they are the biggest and have a few more strings to their bow apart from the garden centre At this of year, I like to add some seasonal vegetables just for the year and perhaps plant a new fruit bush or tree which will yield a bountiful harvest over many years. Sometimes, some herb plants may need replacing after a harsh winter though it wasn't too bad a winter this time I also love to browse their aquarium area though I've discovered through experience that my doctoring skills sadly don't extend to my finned friends, so I now confine myself to looking at the fishes! They have a nice cafe with hot and cold food as well as cakes and drinks for a snack, hence catering for different types of meals. Edinburgh Woollen Mills have an area with clothing and there's a small book department too Like the start of a new football season, spring brings with it a season of hope and limitless opportunities in the garden!

I would highly advise you to head to this shop before going to somewhere like Homebase as they have a much better selection here and the equipment is of a much higher standard. They cater for professionals as well as domestic gardeners too. We bought an excellent hedge trimmer for £80 and the staff were really helpful with advice and tips. They also had loads of hand tools and a really good selection of chainsaws which I'm saving up for next!
went to smiths today!!!!!!!!!I had a great experience ,we needed to get some plants for the garden…read moreand we were really sucsessful today.I was really pleased with the experience today.There were thousands of plants in the garden centre,there were a lot in the inside area and an absolute abundance of plants outside.Also all plants were well kept and very watered,actually helped me keep cool in all this heat,they obviously take pride in each and every one of their plants.Also there is so much stock of everything(plants and non-plants).This has really pleased me as I've seen some garden centres which has hardly any plants and they are all neglected.However in this garden centre,they even have Christmas trees in June,but I suppose today(the day I wrote my review)is only 6 months till Christmas Eve!!!!!!!!!But I cannot see why you can't have a Christmas tree in June if you want to.I brought 3 small ones!!!!!!!!!Also I've been to garden centres in Christmas and they haven't had christmas trees.Also they were really well staffed as well,and our cashier was polite and even offered for someone to help us load the car.Also the smiths golf thing right at the back of the garden centre looks great and I'm sure will make a lot of money for the garden centre.Also their drive thru concept to collect soil was good and very well thought out,it's like a McDonald's drive thru but you show you're receipt to staff and then drive on to get the soil.Lovely experience!!!!!!!!

It offers an extremely comprehensive range of products. Staff in the outside area can be hard to find but there are knowledgeable staff available if you need advice as I did when selecting a fruit tree for my garden. The level of customer service is high, I was surprised to discover that if you buy a heavy bag of fertiliser or compost it will be taken to your car on an electric carrier! So all in all a recommended place to go for garden supplies and products.

Superb garden centre that's sure to cater for your every need…read more This place is HUGE a look at the car park, overflow carpark and overflow overflow car park will give you some idea just how HUGE! The plant selection here is excellent. Houseplants, shrubs, bedding plants, trees, you name it, they'll have it. Plants are always in excellent condition and they're very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and knowledgable about the plants they sell. There's an excellent florists and you can order some fantastic bouquets or make up your own with their extensive cut flower selection. A huge range of stoneware, soils, barks and stones are available and this place is so popular it even has a drive through compost run to allow you to pick up your compost without having to park. Outbuilding, pool and pet concessions exist. There's a good range of gardening attire and gift ware. A good range of toys and gifts complete the set up. There's a cafe here with limited outdoor seating in addition to a large indoor area. There are always plenty of trolleys of varying sizes but do expect the place to be VERY VERY BUSY! Recommended.

We went specifically to get a plum tree. We got a lovely shaped specimen and were given good advice about planting and pruning. The chap we were speaking to also recommended a couple of jasmines and we bought a few annuals too. He kindly tied up the tree and helped us into the car with it. The creepers and tree have really taken hold in our garden, thanks to the good advice, and are growing nicely this year. We're hoping to make another trip out to Thompsons later this summer.
