Rushed & 'cold' service - not the usual chatter, interest and attention as other hairdressers I have used. No attention to detail whatsoever. Requested a 'smooth', straight finish & got curls & flics - asked to have some smoothed out and felt uncomfortable for rest of afternoon. Then they offer a rewards card which is literally snatched out of your hands if you do not rebook there and then - again, my usual Hairdresser provides rewards/ stamps with each payment / service rather and rebook!!! Would NOT use again & would NOT recommend. read more

I booked my daughter in for a haircut here, having been myself a few times with no problems (other than a gripe that their attention to detail is lacking - not offering magazines, having very few magazines in the salon, not offering a drink etc). I had 2 calls from the salon less than an hour before the appointment time asking me if I would postpone for 30 mins and as it didn't suit me, I said I wanted to stick to my original appointment time. Not the best customer experience! The girl that washed my daughter's hair soaked her. I had to wring her dress out afterwards, it was totally unacceptable and she offered no apology and had a rather horrible attitude. I asked to complain to the manager but was told the manager was 'too busy' to talk to me and she would call me at 1pm. The manager called me at 4.10pm, 10 mins after I had made a call to Rush Head Office to complain. After a discussion, the head office agreed to refund me in full and apologized. The one good thing I would say is that the hairdresser we had was very good and I'm pleased with my daughter's cut. I wouldn't go back though - some of the staff have definite chips on their shoulders. read more

I just moved to Surrey county from the US. I was very stressed to leave my FAB stylist, April Suggs, of over 15 years & her keen knowledge of exactly what me & my hair need. I tried another salon last year during an extended visit & was let down by quality of service & expertise. It was a bit closer to where I live. But, a woman's hair isn't something you worry about travel distance when calculating who to choose. On a whim with my partner, we stopped in for a consult at Rush Reigate. I was reluctant to begin with... but after speaking to staff I decided to make an appointment. I found the service excellent- was offered drinks & reading material on multiple occasions. Not only my stylist assisted me, but others asked how I was throughout my appt. The shampoo with the technician-- was HEAVEN! I declined the treatment services on this occasion, but my shampoo & condition wasn't any less wonderful because of it. I believe my head was rubbed for a minimum of 10 min. My stylist didn't try to push a sale of the most expensive product when I asked what was the best for my hair type, in UK range of choices. Instead, she told me her opinion of the best 3 she would pick for herself (explaining pros/cons of each) and which she would avoid. Then, we together picked a set of products best for me. I must say I'm 110% satisfied with the choice! Most importantly, I LOVE my hair. It looks great and feels healthy. Not only that, but I'm no longer afraid to go have my hair trimmed and styled....worrying I'll look like a pitiful poodle. :) Already booked my next appointment in 6 weeks. (price was a bit of a shock to the system..but I was on a 15 year old loyalty set $ amount in SC, USA. So, was prepared for the increase as a new client & also aware of exchange rate & VAT increase. I have had good experience with the cut and colour at Rush. They do make your hair look lovely. The 2 hairdressers I have had were also friendly and polite. The issues I have are with the trainees...as far as I am aware there are 2 girls training. Both are rude and unprofessional. One felt the need to tell me her personal life in far too much detail while she was washing my hair and then insulted me by suggesting I was a "bimbo". The other slated Rush to me when they were short staffed and acted like she was holding the whole place together. She was so busy moaning she soaked me while washing my hair. My suggestion? Get rid of these trainees! read more

I went to rush for the first time after moving to london. and my hair dresser (May at Kings Cross salon) was excellent. Matched my hair colour to look like my previous salon had done it. only downfall are that the young trainee girls need some more training before being let loose on the customers. read more

I strongly recommend Rush, Reigate for an all round excellent quality and professional experience. My stylist Nicola, who is the owner and Manager of Rush has been my stylist for 5 years and she is so highly recommended by myself and my family and friends who also have Nicola as their stylist. I live an hour away from Reigate and I have followed Nicola from Rush, Croydon. I simply will not use anyone else- I have tried another salon and the customer service, generally pleasant experience and extremely high quality hair cut and colour just doesn't compare. Nicola is professional - always remembers who I am and what Treatment I had on the previous visit, making me feel at ease with her creative and always new ideas. However if Nicola isn't available I do recommend any of the stylist in Reigate as I know they receive excellent training. On visiting Rush, your welcomed by, usually a professional young lady at reception, the offer of a selection of magazine and a selection of hot drinks, water, wines and beer. I would recommend Rush in Reigate as I have been going there for 6 months now and I have always been happy with my hair and in the way I have been treated with the customer service. Every time I have visited the salon I have been welcomed by The receptionist behind the desk with a smile. I'm thoroughly taken care of throughout my service and they always make sure I have plenty of refreshments and magazines to keep me occupied while my colour is on. One of the best parts of the service is having my hair washed and I notice that they use the best products at the backwash and while starting my hair, and while having your hair washed you will receive a 5 minute head massage to make you feel more relaxed. And even now I have move to West Wickham I feel is definitely worth the journey. read more

Went to Rush in Reigate because they were offering a 50% off deal online. Was booked in for half a head of highlights and cut. All in all a complete waste of time and money as I didn't get what I wanted. Even after the 50% off which was only on the cut and buying a shampoo it still came to £150. I nearly died. Thankfully I had the money or I don't know what would have happened. read more
