I did my research online and then by phone. Just talking to Judy (who answered the phone after hours and answered my questions without a hint of making me feel rushed) made my decision for me. When my wife and I came to the office, I knew within a few minutes that I had found my dentist for the foreseeable future. I knew I needed work done above my cleaning and x-rays. before I came in. I let Dr. Kerns know of my general discomfort with dental procedures. He could not have done more to make me comfortable. He gave me a full range of options without a hint of consideration for his revenue vs. my range of options -- including doing nothing until there was greater need in one case. Before I finish, however, I must also acknowledge Brenda (dental assistant with more years of dental experience than the doctor) and my hygienist who went out of her way to make my experience comfortable, too. This was easily my best dental experience in over 30 years. We had to drive over 40 miles to get it, but it was well worth the trouble to find an honest, caring professional dental team.

The were very thorough, reasonably priced and personable. Update 1/2020: Decided to get Cigna Dental insurance because they said they were Cigna approved. After getting coverage I now find out they are not Cigna approved, so now I have to drive to Lexington over an hour away.
