Starting a new school in January as a first grader when you have never lived in frozen weather took a lot of courage from my daughters but a majority of the praise goes to the staff at Fernbrook who were absolutely amazing. Mrs Larson was a gift for a new family as a teacher who went out of her way to welcome our daughter and make sure she survived a major shift in culture :) Totally impressed with the administration, bussing from our local neighborhood the involvement from parents and extra curricular activities this school is one of Maple Groves best.

Starting off with the teachers a lot of them are very very nice but a lot of them aren't, Starting…read moreoff with the 5th grade teacher, straight up horrible. She humiliates everyone, If you got a bad score she says yikes OUT LOUD and that you didnt do good.. Abosouletly embarassing and unacceptable.. and the way she switchs up whenever the principal would appear is crazy and sad. She also laughs at the kids a lot of the time.. And the math teacher AMAZING every child loves her!!! Other teachers will actually yell at you for things your actuatlly in the wrong for. But i will have to say about the electronic rule, I disagree with it. the rule is if you bring a electronic and you get caught having it or something you get it taken away a then your parent has to come to the school and justify why you should get it back? Just straight up no, you dont pay any childs phone bill so one you have no right to take it away 2 the parent that literally PAYS the phone bill shouldnt have to jusify anything to get the phone back, but they can justify the reason the child has to bring there phone to school like having divorced parents, having to walk or bike back home or to school.. But what makes a lot of students annoyed is the sign the discipline book thing/policy. This is a catholic school keep in mind so they like to have morning prayer in the morning no problem with that let the child get closer to God! But the problem is if the child forgets their Rosary they have to sign the book because its "apart" of uniform, if a child forgets to take there tennis shoes off after recess they have to sign the book, bunch of other pointless small things. I have a lot of other complaints but if i get more, i'll write another bad review on my other account. and if you're wondering why im telling you this or why i wrote such a long paragraph about this school its because it needs improvement and so you can send your child to a 2x better school. side note: The sports at this school are also horrible! The coach always picks the better players to go in the game while the players that arent so good have to sit out and sometimes they sitout for 2 or 3 or even more times.. do better ave maria..
