The food arrived early, the delivery guy was friendly and professional, and the food was fantastic. The pasta was hot and cooked perfectly - it had fresh herbs and plenty of garlic. The pizzas were generously topped and not overcooked. On the Meat Lovers, the smoky bacon actually tasted smoky, and the BBQ sauce wasn't the cheap, sickly sweet stuff. Definitely putting La Collina back into our delivery rotation.

They are happy to vary their pizzas to suit you which is great for us as we prefer no cheese on our pizzas. Not many restaurants can successfully make a cheese less pizzas, but these are tasty and moist on a lovely thin crusty base.

Full but unsatisfied…read more For the amount we payed for our food, it was average at best. I'm not saying that it's bad, but it just ehhh. The Roma pizza was probably the best out of all the food we had but we found it salty yet plain. That was the same with the carbonara, salty and plain, it was also really small for the price and the dish was room temperature. The lasagne was overpowered by tomato, too rich yet somehow still managed to be plain. And then with cans of soft drink at $4, just not right. However there were some great aspects, specifically everything to do with the wait staff. They were personable and super friendly. The food took a while to be prepared, but when it was ready it was at our table in no time. We have visited La Lupa many times in the past 7-8 years. The first time we were gobsmacked about how great it is. But now everytime we visit, the food we eat declines in quality and quantity.

I ended up ordering a margarita pizza with rocket on top, a caprese salad and then coffee gelato for dessert. The wood fired pizza was so delicious and crisp. I could have eaten multiple except it was a decent size for one person. The caprese salad was also good but nothing to write home about. The gelato was also good and a very large portion for only $4. The waitress was very nice and helpful as well. Overall the food and atmosphere and service were fantastic. The prices were fairly high but not bad by Australian standards. Definitely a must if you're in the St. Kilda neighborhood.
