What a great experience at this Christmas tree farm!! Will definitely be our go-to spot every year!…read moreWe went on Black Friday (opening day) and it wasn't too busy in the morning. The staff was so friendly and helpful, guiding us as we hadn't been before. They have cut your own trees as well as pre-cut trees to choose from if you cut your own there was a 7 foot minimum. They provide saws and twine to tie the tree to your car. The prices were unbeatable and I was honestly so surprised our 9 1/2 foot tree was just $100. It's cash only but they do have an ATM on site as well as a little store with some wreaths, garland and baked cookies. Great experience!!

I pulled up and was immediately greeted warmly by a woman that was was so helpful in finding me a pre cut tree. They had about 15 left (I came Dec. 13) I told her I didn't want anything larger than a 6ft. And she brought out the stick and started to help me measure. She gave me some time to decide came back grab the tree offered to shake it out and trim the bottom, which I happily accepted. They wrapped it up and another employee brought to my car it was a seamless transition. They also offer cutting down your own tree, which is not for me. I'm just a single girl looking to decorate my apartment but I'm so happy I came here and I think it'd be really great for families. They have so many trees in they even had baked goods for salewhen you checked out cash only though all they only do have an ATM.

There are also several other vendors to add to the variety of crafts. Every year the Saturday before Thanksgiving she holds a craft open house that looks like something out of a Christmas movie, with a snow machine, 2 cozy fires and Christmas music to get you in the holiday spirit. You can shop, sit by a warm toasty fire, enjoy free hot chocolate , hot dogs and popcorn while listening to your favorite Christmas songs and even sit on Santa's lap. Each year, she and her husband Mike add more to the event, like this year they will have Santa's golf cart decked out for the holidays to shuttle you from the parking lot across the street to their house, as the driver of the cart last year said "this cart runs on Christmas cheer " and sings as she delivered her riders to the event. I would encourage anyone who has never been to this event start your holiday season off with a visit to Sommers Crafts N Nat......and even if you can't make the Christmas open house , keep Sommer in mind when you need an extra special gift or craft .

Honestly, this is a run of the mill, small strip plaza. It is an interesting and eclectic mix of businesses. The biggest draw for me is Big Rigs. It is a phenomenal BBQ place that anyone who loves BBQ should definitely check out. But is also has a smoke shop, laundromat and nail salon. The nail salon is on the "upscale" end and you need an appointment. Because of the variety of businesses, it is a unique mix of people that patronize it. The parking lot is fairly well maintained, but it can be tough to get a spot if it is a busy night at Big Rigs. It can be tricky to get out of if you don't time the lights right.
