This business is unlawfully withholding my personal property, and the owner is refusing to return my property despite admitting to having it over email (see attached screenshot). I filed complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the New York Attorney General after being ignored for months. I gave the owner, Fanny Karaman, multiple opportunities to return my items and resolve the issue privately. I am now exploring legal options including small claims court. All five custom bras I received from this business were defective, and none of the agreed-upon alterations were completed.
[Update: In response to the owner's stated willingness to share our full private correspondence, I want to make it explicitly clear that some of our communications include private and intimate images and videos of myself wearing only a bra. These were sent solely in the context of discussing product defects and fit issues. The images were shared in good faith, with the expectation of privacy. On July 11, 2025, I sent Ms. Karaman a formal written notice via email (see attached screenshot), explicitly stating that I do not consent to the sharing or distribution of these images, or any private communications. Any disclosure of this content without my express, written permission would constitute a serious violation of privacy and may be unlawful under New York civil statute. In September 2023, I returned four of the bras for alterations after discovering serious construction issues, including exposed underwires, asymmetrical cups, and poor support. The fifth bra had also arrived with defects and was never wearable. From that point on, Fanny Karaman neglected the order from September 2023 to May 2025. I contacted her several times throughout that period trying to resolve the matter and get the bras fixed. In March 2024, when I asked for an update, she admitted that she had completely forgotten about my order (see attached screenshot).
From March to May 2025, I had to message her multiple times over several platforms to get an answer. She either never responded or gave vague replies. I had to ask her to return the bras because she made it seem like she was not willing to even give them back. She eventually mailed back just three of the four bras I had returned. None of the alterations had been made, and there were visible signs of wear on the bras despite the fact that I had never worn them. When I asked where the fourth bra was, she admitted in writing that she had forgotten to include it in the return shipment. Despite that, she refused to send it to me -- not due to any payment dispute, but because she claimed she didn't like my tone (see attached screenshot). She then ceased all communication.
I escalated to the Better Business Bureau. Her responses there were hostile, misleading, and avoided all the documentation I submitted. She accused me of lying while continuing to unlawfully withhold my property. She has refused to cooperate with the BBB process and has ignored my most recent communication trying to resolve amicably before escalating (see attached screenshot). I have also submitted a complaint to the New York Attorney General and will likely pursue small claims court to recover my missing item.
This experience has taken a serious emotional toll on me and wasted hours of my time. In my entire life, I have never dealt with a business that treats customers like this. I strongly urge others to avoid this company at all costs. read more
