The other was horseplaying around with one of his friends, ( who was behind the counter) I ask for some help finding an item and he was very rude and just paid more attention to his friend than helping me. Still using R&M every chance I get. Some 4 or 5 years ago, we moved a bit closer; this shop is now…read moreonly some 290 miles from our home, but we still consider it "our gun shop". To reply specifically to an interim "review", I cannot picture any R&M employee being "rude". During & just before hunting seasons, this shop can get extremely busy. Ronnie specifically doesn't hire smart-asses. All the folks are calm, knowledgeable, and mostly friendly. I personally never handle anything in a shop that I'm not considering buying. Be careful, don't "dry-fire", fingerprint-up, or disturb weapons. There is a fair stock of ammo, accessories, shooting gear, etc. I never buy guns from "big-box" stores or online, and rarely buy ammo that way. As I often say: "Academy is for ice chests, T-shirts, lawn chairs, & IGLOO parts." "Your local GUN SHOP is for firearms & ammo!" For now, R&M has its own private IH69/US59 Expressway "Exit"; y'all enjoy it while you can. R&M is just SW of ElCampo, just past the US59 Expressway/Business 59 split. Rick .
