"He has 5-star reviews, is affordable, and accessible." i thought... NO don't be fooled. This man…read moreis a fraud who seems to buy his reviews; they are all way too positive, and there are so many that no single lawyer could handle all those cases. I initially hired him because my divorce should have been a relatively straightforward, uncomplicated default case. His prices were low, and he has 5 stars, so I decided to give him a chance, even though my gut initially told me otherwise.
During our first consultation, he left us sitting in the waiting room because he had forgotten he was meeting with us, his shirt was untucked in the back and he was scatterbrained. He was vague about the services he was actually providing, never had me sign anything and he appeared to be renting a room from a larger law firm with which he had no apparent affiliation. Despite these red flags, I decided to move forward because of the price and how accessible he seemed to be.
After taking my initial payment, he essentially ignored me for months. He stalled my case, failed to follow through, and repeatedly neglected his responsibilities. I called, texted, and emailed over and over, with little to no response. After months of trying to get answers and requesting a refund, he finally refunded me less than half of what I had paid. **All he did was file the petition.** I had to arrange service on my own spouse myself. That was the extent of the work he completed for me, despite taking my money and leaving me waiting for months. I absolutely believe I deserved a full refund. His lack of communication and failure to follow through didn't just waste my money; it actively hurt my case. I had spent my limited budget on an attorney who barely did anything, leaving me unable to afford a new lawyer.
Meanwhile, the months of unnecessary delays made my spouse less agreeable and turned what should have been a relatively simple process into a much more contentious situation. It was an incredibly frustrating, stressful, and expensive experience (calculating the lost negotiated money in my case), and I feel his handling of my case was completely irresponsible and unethical.
Since then, I have spoken with several other clients who have described similar experiences, and it is unbelievable to hear how consistent these complaints seem to be.
**DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE LOW PRICE.** In my experience, he was unresponsive, unreliable, and failed to provide the services I paid for. I regret hiring him and would strongly caution anyone considering his services to do their research and think twice before handing over their money. What should have been a straightforward divorce became a much more difficult experience because of the attorney I trusted to handle it. Also, he stalled in giving me a receipt for the service he provided me, which was also a fraudulent and inaccurate receipt.
He has "offices" in Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, San Ana, Orange County...etc.
