Her design fulfilled our vision and the execution by her crew led by Ismael and Raul, made our dream come true. Frances (Black Diamond) was the only one of the three companies from which we received designs who was able to build 25 paver stairs and a walkway up the sand dune and create a platform for our view of the golf course and Monterey Bay. Frances and her crew were always punctual, responsible, skillful, considerate and professional. They were able to accomplish all we asked for. Black Diamond, with Frances as the designer and project manager, was definitely the right choice.

I called Nick twice no answer. I call the office they don't know why no one showed but tell me a crew will come at 11:30. 1130 no one comes. Still can't get in touch with Nick, at 2:30 Charles calls and said they would be on site at 3:30. I got in touch with Nick finally and said don't send anyone until tomorrow. He said again he would be on site at 8am with a crew. Nick never shows, but a crew arrived at 8:45. My bid included driveway prep, crack filler and two coats of sealer if needed. The crew finish around 12:30 but did not use crack filler on the bottom 1/3 of the driveway and the did not use sealer on part of right hand side if the driveway. I called Nick and he agreed to get the crew back out the next day a 8am. Charles calls the next day and said they would come over at 11:30. I said no don't come, I canceled the appointment. I called Nick indicated what Charles said. I told Nick to send bill a bill. I also left two messages for a person named Victor to call me, the ad min who answered the phone said she would get Victor involved. Victor never called. Nick failed to show twice after he committed to coming at 8am and he failed to return 3 phone calls and 3 text . I cannot recommend using Coastal for driveway repair. They seem unprofessional and the quality of work done lacks attention to detail and follow through. RG

Cantera was the most down-to-earth and realistic in terms of discussing what the job would entail AND the most reasonably priced. Others were mostly slick sales people who were big on presentation but light on actual knowledge. And they came with huge price tags. We chose to work with Isac from Cantera and are so happy we did. He was honest, reliable, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the end result was what we expected. He didn't cut corners, and his entire crew was competent, hard-working and friendly. Isac was very responsive, always showed up as promised, and completed the job in a timely manner. Also a good problem solver! Couldn't be more satisfied!! Would recommend Cantera Masonry without reservation!
