On a recent trip to NOLA I took the Canal streetcar. I wish I had discovered it sooner as it was much cheaper than uber or Lyft. It was 1.25 a trip or 8 bucks for 3 days. They do take cash, pass or phone scan on the bus. The bus schedule on the Le pass app was never accurate. I would just have to walk to the stop and wait. I got caught in the recent shootings on canal street while on the streetcar. The bus driver was super calm and collected. We sat for 2+ hours in the madness. Then NO finest decided to block us on the tracks and we had to wait even longer. Talk about a trip on so many levels. read more

Certain drivers are hostile, rude, and unprofessional. The RTA will do nothing about so save yourself the trouble and get a car. Because when you complain to a driver that is the response you will be met with that response followed by continued discrimination after speaking up. Thanks RTA glad I chose green. Guess I chose wrong. read more

Kenyon was our streetcar #48 driver. He was so helpful and personable! He really made us feel welcomed in your city! Thank you!

2017 1B. I'm tired of him. And WE AS A CITY ARE TIRES OF HIM. He is evil! You picked up in front of the hospital. Elderly people older than him and he's rushing them. They have canes and telling them they have to walk all the way to the back to exit the street car. A 68yo man got out of character because he began to be rude. He has to go read more

Easy, cheap, and convenient way to travel around Canal Street to City Park/Museum and back. The streetcart's AC kept us cool during this hot, humid day. We started off at Canal at Camp and got off at a City Park which took about 25 minutes. It did make every stop, but we weren't in a hurry. Only cost $1.25 per person. We used the RTA app to schedule our return trip back to our hotel since it runs on schedule. read more

Awful app with no help for tourists. Waiting and waiting. Nothing for over an hour. Yelp makes leaving a review painful

Omg am on a trolley. This was so exiting to me. My state doesn't really have one like this. The trolley was very clean. The driver was pretty firm on everyone having a mask on. They all acted professional. It was a good ride. This is a good option to see the state if the weather is not to good. This is the reason I found myself in one today. The weather forecast said rain and flooding. I took 3 of the 4 trolleys. I bought the day pass. It was only 3 dollars, not bad. The trolley took me to the Garden District, canals, French Quarters and the cemeteries. I got to see most of area. I did a big loop came down and got on to the next trolley. The trolley i did not get on was park and museum one. It was getting late for me, maybe next time. I did enjoy the stress free ride. It is a good way to get around. You can hop off and on if you see something interesting. They come around pretty fast. The trolley ride has an app that you can download if you want to listen to interesting facts of what you are seeing. You do need earphones for this. read more

On time, clean, A/C, friendly driver. The bus is a great option. Not the charm, or sights of the streetcar, but it works for me! Plus COOL purple seats! read more

I arrived at the airport at 4:00. I scheduled a ride for 5:00 thinking that would be enough time to navigate an unknown airport. My 5:00 ride arrived at 6:15. I was told that there was another pickup scheduled. I was asked for a $15 payment. There is absolutely no mention of a cost of other than $2 on the web nor was I advised of this amount as I made the reservation. I spoke with dispatch who advised that this $15 charge was for transportation from the airport but $2 within the city for a ride. My luggage was not secured , rolled around and finally fell over. The driver did not stop to remedy the problem. I am secured in my wheelchair so I couldn't retrieve it. I'm used to riding Paratransit in many cities: this was my absolute worse experience. read more

The streetcar system is a great and inexpensive way to tour NOLA. A $3 all day pass will get you all over downtown and even through the garden district to see some amazing historical homes. The wait times are minimal. Multi lines cross all over the city. There were a few intoxicated folks hanging out at the stops during the day. We didn't venture out after dark though. read more

It's a very convenient way to travel around the city of New Orleans. The streetcars run almost 24/7. Each ride is $1.25 (as of Fall 2018). If you plan on taking more than three rides per day, it makes sense to buy the day pass. It's good for one person for 24 hours. You can buy the day pass on the streetcar, just tell the driver. The streetcars tend to be running on a "relaxed" schedule, so try to leave early if you have appointment. Late at night confirm with the driver if they will go up to your stop , sometimes they modify their route. read more

Probably the best way to get around New Orleans. The cars were clean and ran pretty quickly, except for one day that we had to wait for a while due to one of the cars braking down. The rides are reasonably priced, 1.25 for a ride $3 for a day pass which is good for 24 hours and they also offer passes for multiple days. My only complaint is that the drivers just seem really annoyed with everyone. It's a touristy town and obviously there are people that do not know how to work the fare machine because they have never seen it and the drivers just seemed so annoyed with that. I feel that it comes with the territory and they should at least try to be somewhat pleasant. read more

Due to surgery I was in need of special transportation RTA Paratransit was my go to. The experience started out a bit rough, but the problems were quickly and pleasantly taken care of by a lovely and quick witted Ms. Sider and within a few minutes my wheelchair and I were rolling with Paratransit. I cannot say enough good things about the drivers, everyone I have ridden with is pleasant, happy, helpful and understanding of your particular situation. I have to emphasize if you need this service temporarily start the application process at least 6 weeks in advance and be vigilant following up on your approval status, it usually takes longer than the 3 weeks they suggest, and if you are using Paratransit to get to work schedule pick up early unless you have an understanding employer. The drivers and operators are great and will take good care of you. read more

Air conditioning and lots of seating make this preferable to the streetcars. $1.25 to ride

One of the riders left one of our individuals when she was taking unplugging her chair to get to transit and they left when we said she was on her way up. Poor service indefinitely. I would not recommend this service to anyone. read more

Cleveland Paratransit-Run the other way-you will get their faster-even if you have NO legs! I have used them in the past-only gotten worse. I thought I was just going downtown for a new card-instead got dropped off in Brooklyn so they could examine me to see if I was still disabled. After 4 strokes-I did not get better-they should review their records (too much effort on RTA's part. I waited in the lobby for the next vehicle to come and take me downtown. One RTA driver came in-her person not their. She called HQ to see if she could ride me downtown and she had no one else on her route-they said no-I had to wait till 12:30-I'd already been waiting an hour. A workman from upstairs came down and said he had seen me waiting for a long times I told him I was waiting for PRT Paratransit and he stated He'd seen that many time before. I called a family member on his phone to come and get me as I had been waiting almost 3 hours. RTA came about 2 min before her. NO WAY was I getting in another of their vehicles, might be next MONTH before the next stop. I got home, rested a while and called RTA Paratransit to explain their mess. Talked to someone named DAVE-he just said ok-his only reply to RTA's treatment of the disabled. It is absolutely OBSCENE the horrible way they treat the disabled-the ones they are supposed to help. I pray each and every one of them is sacrificed to a crippling disease and they have to experience the Hell they dish out. There is a lot of BETTER competition out there now that will get you where you need to gen and home in reasonable time. Use them and get treated like a human-not like what RTA has stepped in. Uber, Lift-any tax service. I bet even the town drunk would treat you better. read more
