I will never use this company again. And apparently I'm not the only one. Since having problems with them last month, everyone I have spoken to has cringed as soon as they hear that this is who I dealt with. They have a very poor reputation in Hinton and I thought it was time someone finally wrote it somewhere where the general public could see it. They are lazy, and don't take customers seriously. When I called to complain about their technician (among other things), they kept telling me they were shocked to hear that I had a problem as they regularly get calls from customers just to say how good this particular technician is. No apology from them until the very end of our 15 minute phone conversation. Since then, no one I've spoken to has had a good word to say about them. I believe that they overcharged for the length of time they actually worked. The PTAC unit we ordered arrived damaged with no offer to replace it or reduce the cost to account for the damage. They did not come out prior to ordering the unit to check the space/location where it was to be installed, even after I asked them to numerous times. The owner explained to me that this was because they aren't always sure how serious these requests are and that they don't want to waste their time. I argued that my putting down a 50% deposit on the unit should have shown them that I was a serious customer. My advice is to stay away from Roy's Plumbing & Heating. read more
