Dr. Sanchez and her staff seem to be very knowledgeable and competent in general canine medicine, but she also has special training in rehabilitation after injuries. She also has training, experience and knowledge of accupuncture, which one of our dogs benefited from. One of our dachshunds was injured falling off of a bed, and lost the use of her hind legs. She had spinal surgery to repair the damage, and with the help of Animal Health & Rehabs services, including the use of an aquatic treadmill, she completely recovered. That same dog tore the ACL tendon in her knee, and after surgery and healing, she didn't want to use that leg. With Dr. Sanchez' help and advice to us for rehab excercises we could do with the dog at home, she completely recovered the use of that leg. The specialists that she has referred us to have been excellent. We are not price-comparison shoppers when it comes to our pets' health, so I cannot speak to affordability for you. I cannot emphasize enough how nice everyone is, and how much they seem to *care* about their patients and the owners. I took her to a vet…read moreand he misdiagnosed her with ringworm based solely on the fact that she glowed green under the woods light. The next two vets said it was allergies and gave her pills. She improved from the damage done by fungal treatments (the first vet didn't understand why the ringworm wasn't going away) but by the time I found Dr Sanchez, she was in sorry shape and I was a wreck with worry. Dr Sanchez did blood work and other tests to rule out internal causes. She took time to explain about allergies and even though I had Googled allergies, she put it all into perspective for me. We did an ultrasound, and another blood test to see what she is allergic to. The lab is making a pill based on this info to de-sensitize her. During each step of this process, Dr Sanchez discussed with me whether I wanted to do the next step. No pressure, just information and options. We feed chloe special food and keep her out of the grass. She is bathed regularly in medicated shampoo and leave-on rinse. Her quality of life is much improved. If you have an older pet or one with health issues, Dr Sanchez is the perfect choice. I would also recommend her for routine visits.
