We hired Royal Touch Painting in the fall of 2025 for an exterior residential painting job and were thrilled with the outcome. After meeting with and gathering quotes from three other painting companies to paint the exterior of our 1-story house in Tarzana, we chose Royal Touch Painting and the whole experience and results convinced us we made the right choice. Royal Touch made a good impression right away, as owners Javier and Ed were very responsive to our initial outreach and were forthcoming about what they saw as the scope of the work, what we should be mindful of, and how long they thought the job would take. They were quick to provide a very reasonable quote, and at the end of the project, the initial quote was the final cost, with one small addition we mutually agreed upon at the onset. This despite what seemed - to us - to be more than a handful of additional efforts they put in over and above what we thought they would. Royal Touch was also flexible to schedule the start of the work and kept the job on schedule to complete the work (though there was an unplanned delay due to the torrential rains after the project started that we both agreed mandated a work stoppage until things dried out). They were professional, prompt, responsive, and courteous - everything we could have asked for but have not always received from other contractors. The job included the exterior painting of our house, detached garage, one side of our neighbor's garage, and the stucco wall and wood privacy fencing between our house and our neighbors. In addition to our basic expectations that they would repair stucco cracks, patch/fill holes, remove (vs. just paint around) our awnings, etc. they went above and beyond some of our requests and late add-ons, including repairing an aging wooden gate and stitching a patch to one of our awnings that we realized could have easily become a much larger tear. Throughout the project, they made practical recommendations on paint colors and sheens, including implications for maintenance, wanting to make sure we were very happy with all of our choices once we made the final decisions. They even stayed at the very end of the project as they were about to leave to put up our new house numbers, which we had taken down before the work started and not even mentioned to them. We had some worries - unnecessarily, it turned out - that the unplanned roughly two-week rain extension might encourage them to cut corners to reduce their costs, but in the end, they spent as long as they needed to get the job done completely and to our satisfaction, without cutting corners and with zero surprises. On a personal note, we liked all the staff - who were pretty much the same onsite every day - and they made the work here at the house enjoyable (which has not always been the case with other contractors). Owner Javier was onsite every day, and not just to supervise, but to actively contribute to getting the project done and done right. One last thing to highlight is they kept the jobsite clean, which was very much appreciated. With nosy dogs, we were very concerned about anything that might be left out, and they were very considerate every day. We would highly recommend Royal Touch Painting and would not hesitate to hire them again for other projects (we were encouraged to know their services include interior painting, as well)! WOW!!!!! These guys are truly amazing! I found them on NextDoor app, and I am so glad I did! My husband and I were thoroughly impressed just after day 1 of prep work! Such attention to detail. We had said our house needed some stucco repair. Never did we imagine the stucco needed such extensive repair along the entire front of the house, but Javier and his crew exposed the damage and thoroughly repaired it. My husband and I continued to be impressed as the prep continued for three more days, with Javier replacing rotted wood that my husband and I had not noticed before. Javier kept seeing things he could do to make the house look better, and he would just go ahead and build it! And Javier's crew worked so hard ......scraping, sanding, repairing. I cannot say enough good things about them. One neighbor passing by even noted how they were dressed professionally in their protective painting gear. And then there was the matter of selecting the colors. I knew we wanted a soft yellow, but finding it was another story. Javier, without any complaint, kept putting up colors I wanted to try.
