Had extensive works to increase seating inside and much better now that the toilets have had a revamp. Good pub with a good buzz of conversation keeping it lively but not belting. Unfortunately, this is not actually what we were expecting as this was a restaurant serving anything but traditional pub food. We were pretty disappointed but decided to stay anyway as we'd hiked up to the top of the hill and it was getting late. The chicken schnitzel and greens in marmite butter were delicious. However the charred fish was extremely bony and not very nice. The freshly made ice cream was ridiculously good as was the service, views, and cozy ambiance.

The broad range of ales are exemplary, it having a second small ale and rum bar tucked away in the corner with a wide range of both drinks, all the ales are gravity drawn. There is often live music, I am told the Monday night Cornish dancing sessions are great entertainment n- I'll have to get there one day.
