When asked about the ride, we were given two options between an older bus and a newer one. So we chose the newer one. When the driver arrived, before we took off, I asked if we could play Christmas music and the driver told me I could Bluetooth to the stereo which would have been perfect. We could not Bluetooth- the driver did not know how to do it, and couldn't add a device so we listened to the radio Christmas channel and all the ads and commercials. When I came time to look at lights, all of the windows were fogged over. The driver gave us a towel to wipe down our windows but as soon as you would wipe, they were covered in condensation again. There was one towel for all the windows- which after Wiping down the first two large windows, was soaked- and didn't do much for the rest of the windows on the bus. In 2.5 hours we made three stops to look at lights. We love the beaverdale area, but the driver only went down one street instead of both. The rest of the time we were driving the whole time on the interstate or down back roads through neighborhoods that did not have lights. We were very disappointed- we wanted to play fun songs to get the kids excited between stops, and expected more lights/stops. For the money spent (not at all cheap) we all walked away feeling very disappointed and looking for a different way to do this next year. I would never spend the money again with this company for the Christmas Lights Tour.

Luxxor was able to give me a decent price, and the driver Joe was excellent. He was early, had the car nice and pre-heated for me (an important thing to do on a cold Iowa morning!), offered to stop and get me coffee and got me to the airport with plenty of time to spare. The car was clean, well maintained and he had water waiting, as well. I appreciate the easy process to request the quote on line and the ability to accommodate such an early last minute pickup time.

Everything was top notch! The limo arrived very clean inside and out. The driver opened doors, helped everyone out and made everyone feel safe, especially me. They had cups, plates and napkins for us. My daughter lost her phone so the driver made calls to everywhere they had gone and tracked it down for us after the run was over. The driver also re-took my daughter's favorite picture and emailed it to me going over our time 10 minutes with no extra charges. The phone people made suggestions of what to do and I felt as though I had paid a million dollars for the service. We toured the Christmas lights. My children especially had a good time. We used CoD for our wedding, because our venue was about 20 minutes from the hotel block/city center where most of our guests were and we wanted to make sure people could have an amazing time at our reception without being in danger on the drive home :) I called a few months out and spoke with Gretchen (I think?) who could not have been more lovely and helpful. She helped me figure out exactly the vehicle timing and arrangement I needed to provide shuttle service for our guests before and after the ceremony and reception, as well as for my husband and I to get to our hotel at the end of the night! They truly think of every detail, down to color coordinating the paper napkins in each limo to your event colors and providing my husband and I with complimentary champagne at the end of the evening. She was highly communicative with the follow-ups and additional questions I had leading up to our wedding day, and it took SUCH a load off my mind knowing that someone as detail-oriented and customer service-oriented as Gretchen and her team were working with us. I know our guests (especially the out-of-towners) really appreciated the ease with which they got around that day...and I'm sorry a year late for our silly friends playing "Zombie" by The Cranberries pretty much the whole way back to the hotel at the end of the night lol! But truly the cap on the great experience was our driver after the party was over (whose name escapes me but I think he is actually Gretchen's husband and a co-owner of the company...Aaron, maybe?). This is the gentleman who drove my husband and I back to Des Moines after all our guests had left, and he was so polite and lovely and congratulatory, and offered to drive our belongings to our hotel for us while we went out for a late night bite post-reception! Overall, this company really does go above and beyond, for incredibly reasonable prices, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

So many good limo rental options in and around Des Moines and this isn't one of them. Avoid this…read morecompany like the plague. The driver looked like he may have slept in the limo the night before. He was also rude and, at times, inappropriate. Worst of all, he seemed desperate to let us know that he was the "owner" of the company and not just a lowly driver. His macho/sexist/lewd manner was almost more than we could take. I just hope he cleans up his language when their are children in the car (none in our case). Really can't say anything nice about this company or the guy who owns it. I'd encourage you to consider any other limo company in town. If this is the only one with cars and dates available, consider taking the buss.
