The collections office from hell! Well, almost anyway. Queues that go round th block on most days, staff that ae clearly overworked and overtired, missing mail, and thats just on a good day!
I feel for the guys who are front line and get the grief, but there must be someone out the back there losing parcels.
I wouldn't dream of going to collect anything if its raining, you'll just get soaked! read more
OK, just to be clear this review is of the collections office not the main post office.
If you have a parcel to pick up don't go queue up in the main post office in Slindon Street you need to go round the corner (down Lower Church Path) and it's right on the corner.
Only go if you have a postcard (the red or grey ones) and you've had it for over 24 hours, because they will not help you otherwise.
The collections office is really tiny, and it seems no matter what day or time you go there is always a huge queue. Many a time I've had to join the queque outside as it's so long.
The staff are OK but on a couple off occasions hey've not been able to find parcels I've gone in to collect and I'v had to go backagain. So all that waiting is frustrating.
So all in all I'd say make sure you're not in a rush if you need to go there, and be prepared for the long ques (sometimes outside, even in the rain)! read more
