Came here for a 'quick' lunch stop on the way to Adelaide. I can confidently say that I will not be returning. We arrived at around 12pm and didn't leave until 2:30pm. All meals ordered came out separately every 45 minutes or so. We expected to enjoy our lunch altogether, as any family would wish to do, and were not even given an apology. People around us were being served while we waited and waited patiently. Clearly some bias towards the locals. The first meal came out at 1:40pm (over an hour later), and served as an entree size instead of a main. They returned the same serving on a bigger plate with some salad on the side. When the third meal finally came, they didn't serve it as it was requested (with the sauce on the side), and took it back. After they served the same meal, now with the sauce on the side, the fish was raw and completely inedible. Once we had shown the waitress the fish, they took it back and offered to make it again. By that point, we had been waiting hours, were significantly distressed, and still waiting on a side of chips in addition to the fish. We asked to have the fish and side of chips for takeaway and left as soon as they were made (an additional half an hour). The excuse we were given (without an apology or an offer to make up for the terrible service), was that there was only one chef and it was his first day. We watched gob smacked as large tables of patrons arrived, ate and left in the time that we waited. I don't think many people would tolerate this. We were treated as an inconvenience and some genuine remorse would have gone a long way. read more
