Before meeting Wendy, I thought wedding planners were an unnecessary expense. Oh boy, was I wrong!…read moreWendy was an invaluable part of the wedding planning process. She found amazing vendors within our budget, re-negotiated a bad contract I had signed before meeting her, and gave us guidance on how we could incorporate Chinese wedding traditions into what was a very Western wedding including having a personal translator for my husband's grandmother from Taiwan. Wendy planned an all-around perfect wedding all while my husband and I weren't even in Toronto until the week of the wedding! The greatest testament to Wendy's professionalism, expertise, and compassion is the fact that when my MIL became very ill in the month leading up to the wedding and all our plans were quickly falling apart nothing seemed to phase her. She had back up plan after back up plan and was constantly adapting to the new situation. Even when my MIL was too ill to leave her hospital bed Wendy found many ways to include her in the wedding giving us a few more sweet memories from that bittersweet day. Wendy's support did not end after the wedding. Unfortunately, my MIL had passed away that same night. Wendy attended her funeral the next week and even explained some of the Chinese funeral practices. It's been over a year and she still checks up on us every once and a while to see how we're doing. I am very grateful for her kindness and her calm demeanor through all the chaos.

It was the last one left and was 20% off....and it wasn't red! :D Most of the things I saw were mostly red (my least fav color and which also happens to be the Chinese Wedding color... ugh). The tea sets they carry here are mostly elegant depending on the design. Some are cute too w/ little cartoon characters or you can go the traditional design approach. I think Fanbo has the most variety around the area for teasets. All comes in a nice solid-ish case w/ a handle. Shirley was so nice again... she recognized me and gave me some freebies. 2 double happiness signs (to stick on the wall/door) and lots of papercups.

My initial communications with people here in person were great. Towards the endi, it was incredibly frustrating that they would send out LONG standard responses asking you to review everything, yet on at least 3 occasions, did not even respond to my questions. Though we got what we wanted, I was incredibly disappointed at communications with this team. I tried going in person, over the phone and emails to get the message across. Luckily getting invitations is not a long process and we got beautiful invitations. In retrospect, I would have gone elsewhere because this is the only vendor that was frustrating to deal with. I'd recommend you do your research to shop around more than we did. Depending on what you want, you may not really save this much at this place. We budgeted $5 and spend close to $9....that said, we loved them.

Love their invitations! For my wedding invitations, I was very specific with what I wanted. I…read morewanted a tri-fold and pocket design with a bedazzled rhinestone. I am not a huge DIY person so I didn't want to put my own invitations together. While searching around, I realized that adding a rhinestone to the invitation added a lot more cost. I am so glad I happened upon Stephita while searching online. I order invitation #917 because it was exactly what I wanted and so much cheaper than any of the stores that I was looking at in the US. Also, I did not have to pay tax since the store is based in Canada! Working with Stephita was also wonderful. Everyone was so nice and patient with me as I went through multiple proofs after changing my mind about one thing or another. The invitations came ahead of time and they even included extra envelopes and RSVP cards. I would recommend them 100%!
