I am writing to follow up on my previous request regarding a full refund for the services I paid for, which were not completed as agreed. As stated in my initial communication, I paid a deposit $1,000 for the installation of a bathroom vanity. The original appointment was canceled, and the work has still not been completed. This has caused inconvenience and does not meet the expectations or agreement we had in place. This message serves as a second formal notice requesting a full refund of $1,000. I ask that this refund be processed within 5 business days from the date of this email. If I do not receive a response or resolution within this timeframe, I will proceed with further action, which may include filing formal complaints through applicable consumer protection agencies and pursuing other available remedies. I would prefer to resolve this matter quickly and amicably. Please confirm when I can expect the refund. I paid a deposit to this business for a scheduled service, but ended up canceling the appointment in advance. No work was performed. When I requested a refund of my deposit, the business refused to return it. There was no signed agreement stating the deposit was non-refundable, and no materials or services were provided. I attempted to resolve this directly but was unsuccessful. Based on my experience, I would recommend confirming refund policies in writing before making any payment.

Tech went as scheduled and told me he did a quick check at the unit and then to the electrical panel. And said now if he needs to go into diagnosis, it will cost $175 , and either he can fix it OR that $175 will be used to swap a new unit at $4xx. Since I'm remote, I can only agree to it to move forward. 10mins later, got a call from the tech saying, "there are good and bad news! Good news, the unit was indeed completely fine and it's working alright. The unit was slightly "UNPLUGGED" from the outlet and it works perfectly after I plugged it back in. Bad news, the $175 is due. " I appreciate that the "diagnosis" save me hundreds instead of replacing a fully working unit, but I would have thought the first free initial check should have looked at the connection in the first place. Definitely feel a bit rip off BUT they did give me a small discount in the end. I'm not expecting free work BUT $150 to get someone out to plug it back in? Is that the norm?

Scott has been amazing since we first reached out to him regarding the first leak and Anthony was super through, knowledgable, and above and beyond in communication and walking us through the repiping of our home process. To clarify, we were very impressed by Anthony and his team that came to do the work. We will forever be grateful for choosing Scott's family company. Scott and his team take care of you as if you were family and not too many local family companies express such gratitude, empathy, and devotion towards their customers when stressful situations arise like dealing with a water leak. Huge shout out to Scott, Anthony, and their team again for the win here! I sure hope we have no more water/plumbing surprises, however if we do, we have a great deal of peace of mind since he is our go-to company and we know we will be taken care of.

The plumber who came out was friendly enough, but the quote came in at $1,400 for a straightforward PEX repair. I had already done the discovery, cut the access hole, and identified the leak. This was not a complex job and did not justify that price. I ended up calling another plumbing company who is doing the same repair for $300-$400, over $1000 less. Price padding a simple repair, especially when it feels like it's based on the assumption an insurance claim will be filed, isn't a good look. Honest pricing and integrity matter, and in this case, they missed the mark.

The owner took the time to really listen, understand the history of the issue, and commit to finding the true root cause rather than offering a quick fix. That alone set the tone for a very positive experience. He sent Frank out to diagnose the problem, and Frank was absolutely outstanding. Incredibly professional, thorough, and patient; he spent nearly four hours going through every detail to make sure nothing was overlooked. He explained what he was seeing, walked me through the system, and didn't rush a single step. I feel confident that the issue has been fully addressed. I genuinely appreciate the level of care, expertise, and integrity from both the owner and Frank. Northstar has definitely earned my trust, and I highly recommend them.

During a service visit, improper handling led to significant water damage. Afterward, responsibility was disputed and explanations were inconsistent. An opportunity was given to resolve the issue, but the response did not reflect the seriousness of the situation. Before hiring, ask detailed questions about procedures, insurance, and how they handle damage claims. Better yet, I suggest finding a company that is trustworthy.
