The club provides a place for members to have a drink with friends and perhaps a game or two of pool or darts in the games room. It also houses a good sized hall where there is often entertainment as well as the opertunity to hire this hall for functions. It is relitivly easy to get here with the proximity to the railway station they are well searved by public transport and for those choosing to take the car there is a good sized car park at the club. The staff offer a friendly welcome and there is a good atmosphere. Although there is wheelchair access you do have to ask for the gates to be opened by a member of staff as you have to enter by the games room which has an outside fenced area. There is also a disabled toilet although it is a bit tricky to get into as you have to go through a small room to get to it.

If they don't do something quick the club will become another failed statistic. Does everyone think…read morethat Karaoke will be their saviour, when in actual fact it pushes regular customers elsewhere. The hall use to host the Sunday bingo but is now moved to the lounge along with the dreaded karaoke. All that's left for a quiet drink is the games room :-( The staff are Brilliant cant fault any of them, always friendly. And you cant beat their cold pint of Tennents Lager.

Airdrie Workmans is a bit of an institution in Airdrie. It is a social club that you need to be…read moresigned in but never a problem as someone at door will do it for you. It has a mixed crowd o a certain extent and seems to me to be a bit like a wedding with a game of bingo halfway through. They also do lunches which are really cheap but really bad. I had the misfortune of ordering a burger and got a cheap frozen Birds Eye Burger in a hard roll. Not a pleasant experiance. Drink is very cheap though they are practically giving it away but still not somewhere that i would consider rushing back to and would certainly never go for lunch again.
