I will not be paying them, it's off to court I go. DO NOT rent from them, you will not see your security deposit, your normal wear will be charged as "excessive wear".

The manager of the property, Annette, is the worst human I have ever had the misfortune of…read moreencountering. Although the apartment and facilities are adequate my children were scared to play outside for fear of being yelled at by Annette. One of my daughters needed to use the restroom at the community center when she was walking home from the bus stop one day. Annette stopped her and told her she wasn't supposed to be there without a parent, my daughter told her that she just needed to use the restroom but Annette would not let her go. My 9 year old daughter wet her pants trying to get home. Every interaction I have had with Annette she was hostile. I had to leave the apartment just to escape her wrath. If you have any other options for shelter utilize them before you are locked in to a contract.

I have been a driver in the Fox Valley for many years, working for several different companies,…read moresuch a Uber, a local taxi company, and food delivery. And through all of those jobs I have worked through the years, I have gotten a lot of business from the tenants of Dublin Trail apartments. I have always dreaded these runs, because I hate to go there. The place is so large, and there are so many buildings, which is fine, but it is such a headache because they don't know how to label their buildings with the addresses. It's bad enough during the day, trying to find the numbers on the buildings, and they are small and located in odd locations, but at night it is downright impossible. Tonight, I spent a half hour driving around the parking lot, getting out and walking around buildings looking for the building number in the dark, before I phoned my customer and asked him to come outside and wave me down. That is INSANE. Number your buildings better, put up some signs and some lights like NORMAL apartment complexes.

She kept resident UPS packages in her office closet and just ignored them. She tried to start charging me for use of the pool & workout area after I signed a lease including it in my rent. She made ridiculous requirements for repairs, like bringing her an envelope full of the insects that came into my apt under the door insulating barrier & the mice that entered into my stove from outside. Anyone renting near the woods area should be looking under their stove top regularly. The maintenence man Joe entered my apt early morning without prior notification & it was claimed he didn't have to within business hours?! Standing in kitchen in my PJs and he enters my apt! The manager at the time called the police on me for reporting these things & the company refuses to rent to me until this day even with excellent references. They own almost all of the apartment buildings in the area too. Their staff at Dublin Trail doesn't seem to know protocol that if you aren't able to renew your lease for any reason, they never rent to you again 20+ years afterward, even with their bad maintenance rules.

Do not by any means even entertain the idea of moving into this s*** hole! They are useless! Charge way too much, go through managers like underwear, and never fix anything! Avoid renting here at all costs. I realize the lower rent can be enticing, but they are not managed…read moreproperly or even moderately well and you will end up paying for it in the long run. We had repair tickets open for over 18 months without any repairs made. They went through at least 6 different managers in the 3 years we lived there. They also attempted illegal entry MULTIPLE times and they had monthly entry beyond reasonable maintenance that only stopped once enough tenants complained to the state. When we moved out, they illegally charged us for several things that are against the law to charge for and it is taking a fight to correct the situation. It seemed more like a run-around to charge us for ending our lease one month early while under protection from the Service Member's Relief Act (for military orders). It really is NOT worth living here, even though the units themselves are seemingly nice (they look great on the surface, but they are extremely cheaply made - including the electrical) and the rent is reasonable for what you get. I was hopeful with the newest manager, but it's clear that they still don't care for the law. If you do live here, make sure you take VIDEO and PICTURES on move in and move out. It's generally a good thing to do no matter where you live, but it's extremely important here since they'll try to get away with whatever they can.
