Second of all, when I went to check out, the lady at the cash register did not speak a word to me. Even when she expected me to pay, she didn't tell me how much. I handed her the money and when she gave me the change back, she said "Bitte." That's it. No Hi, no bye, no thank you. Third of all, I realized that I left my umbrella in the fitting room. When I went back, the line to the fitting room was endless and I didn't want to fight through the crowd to get into the fitting room. Plus, someone else was in there. So, I decided to go ask for help. One of the male employees was standing around and when I told him I left my umbrella in the fitting room, he looked around and said nobody turned one in. I told him that it might still be in the fitting room and he told me that I can go look for it myself. To be honest, I was in shock. There is this guy who works there and has nothing to do at this particular moment and he will not even offer to help a customer? I bluntly asked him if he can go look for it and he laughed asking me if I'm too scared to go look for it myself...? I had no response in store. I was truly speechless and uncomfortable. Fortunately, he got the hint and went to get the umbrella for me which took him less than 30 seconds. No words were exchanged when he handed it to me. I left in disbelief.
I am fully aware I cannot expect the same customer service in Germany as I do in other countries, but if you work somewhere and someone asks you for help, please don't tell them to do it yourself.
Other than that, the store has great clothes which you can probably buy at a different H&M with better customer service.
