They were extremely short staffed. They should've just put a closed sign up for the day. We got there at 10:55am. Then we waited 30 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order, and our drinks were brought out sporadically with the last two, belonging to a 5 year old and a 22 month old, brought out an hour later. When she finally came to take our order, I had to remind her that she had never brought us any menus yet or our grandkids drinks. We finally got some food, but nobody got any refills on drinks, and two people ordered pancakes and had no syrup. I went and asked for some, and the person at the front counter gave me honey mustard, so I went back and had to get it myself because no one was there to help me. Such a wonderful restaurant with a hometown feel. After a long day at a local pumpkin patch my family was in dire need of a bite to eat. I found this little gem on Yelp and can't gush enough about it! The restaurant was very clean and the staff was attentive. We had a large party with children and their rowdiness after a long day at the pumpkin patch didn't seem to phase the staff one bit. I had the chicken marsala, while it was different from what I'd consider traditional marsala (it had more of a tomato base) it was delicious! The chicken and sauce over a bed of penne was full of flavor. Several family members had hamburgers. They were all cooked perfectly and tasted homemade! My nephew is a cesar salad connoisseur and devoured the entire thing claiming he'd give it "two thumbs up." My mom had the Roxy nachos. My husband and I stopped while passing through town. I wish Roxy's was closer to where we live, what a gem! The service was fantastic, I had the huevos rancheros with the green sauce and hash browns, sooooo good! My husband had the Belgium waffle with home fries, he said it was the best he's ever had. Found this gem on the way home to Florida vis the 26. Newly opened but they have great good, Bloody Mary's and the service is great! The Deep Fried French Toast was great and the Chorizo Enchiladas were wonderful. Restaurant is clean and very homey. We enjoyed it very much! We even beat the lunch crowd. Been to Roxy's before and like last time the establishment is clean, quiet and filled with friendly staff. Our waitress was attentive and our came out quickly. Went for lunch while traveling and what a mistake all these positive reviews my my standards must be higher for food. It was horrible. I had a burger or should I say a piece of leather. Wife had biscuits and gravy which was nothing more than flour. Still raw hash browns and biscuits which were hard and old. OWNER waited on us and served us never came back after passing by several times seeing we were no eating the food. Had to go to the register and as her for the bill while she talked in the phone the entire time in Spanish. Never once asked how the meal was. The service and food was great but once the critters aka GERMAN ROACHES came out I couldn't wait to leave. We saw 7 just in the short time we were there, in the bathrooms and the dining room, I would hate to see the kitchen. Stopped here for lunch on the way home from Florida. Tried to use their online app to reserve a table and got a message saying to call a certain number to finish the reservation. When I called, I got a recording saying "Welcome to Canada". Apparently they aren't done setting that feature up yet. Based on the reviews, we expected the food to be really good. Not the case. The onion rings were good, but even though they are supposedly included with your sandwich, all 4 in our party were up-charged. They were not crowded and the service was super slow. We had the BLT and a mexican burger. Neither sandwich was anything special. Clientele looked like local folks, so maybe this is one of the better places in town to warrant the yelp ratings. They have a giant dessert case, but it was empty when we were there. Maybe we just hit this place on an off day because the sign on the door said they were closing early because the chef was on vacation. Not sure it is worth a detour to eat here. Stumbled upon this restaurant on my travels to Miami. I can thank traffic on 95 for this happy accident. Killed some time on the drive and ate some delicious food. They have an outdoor patio that was dog friendly which was a plus for my pooch. Lovely, friendly, and attentive staff welcomed us and served our food. Coffee was hot a fresh. I ordered the lovers skillet which was shedded crispy has brown with bacon ham and sausage topped with eggs (I asked for scramble) and a tortilla. It was so delicious and they have cholula hot sauce to spice it up a bit. My friend had a small burrito and a large burrito. The large is probably more than enough. We found this nice little cafe on a drive from Charleston, SC to Savvanha, SC. It's an exit off the high-way, and delightful. The owner is the cook and he makes everything from scratch. Hamburgers to chicken are not frozen. he selects fresh meat and produce. My husband had a chicken pesto sandwich that was really outstanding, and I had a "skillet" dish of savory beans, rich and chicken. The staff was accommodating and explained any questions we had about the menu. My husband and son got chicken wraps and fries that they both enjoyed.
