What is very disturbing is the Comedy Show that you hosted. Per your staff you sold out at presale at yet still continued to sell and profit knowing that you did not have adequate seating. There were Seniors attending this event who did not get to see the show. You herded People inside to stand like cattle. Most of your customers traveled a long way and there was no consideration of hospitality. This was just a money grab. Its insulting to tell people that they could get a refund for not seeing the show the next day at registration. which was a lie. I know here in Dallas we will post the truth about happened at your rally. i plan to do a media Blitz about this event . There were twenty five motorcycle clubs that we invited to this event to support it. That will not happen in the future. It seems like pockets at being greased above their fair share, I only hope that the families or Businesses who were victims of the massacre receive some type of restitution or a fund established for minority Businesses. The famous Tulsa Cave House was built by Joseph Koberling Sr. and James Purzer during the 1920's…read more Originally this cave like building was designed as a restaurant with outdoor dining. This restaurant served as a front to a speakeasy at night (with possible activity involving mobsters, shady business, etc). A long time ago there were tunnels (that are long gone, as they had collapsed, according to our tour guide and owner of the home) that served as an entrance and exit point. The Fire Department actually came to check and see around the home and had found some of those collapsed tunnels and that it would lead to the back of the home and over the hill. Since then, this home was owned by a few other owners and then was left abandoned for many years until Linda Collier purchased this home in 1997 and eventually repaired and restored the home. She opened this home to the public in 2007 for tours (only $10 per person). According to Linda, the home was in such a disrepair that the realtor she was with refused to enter. But as soon as Linda stepped in, she knew she just had to purchase it. She was going to move in but said that a ghost/ apparition convinced her not to move in. So she used it as a place for her woodwork and a place to write (she still does not live in the home). During that time, locals would ring the doorbell and ask if they could take a peek inside, as they had always known about the cave house but had always wondered what laid inside. Eventually Linda decided to provide tours for locals and tourists. My husband and I came for a visit on a Thursday afternoon (we had contacted Linda earlier that day and said she would be able to give a tour at 2 pm. She was so sweet to let us come in earlier, as we had arrived a bit earlier). We sat in the living room and heard a few stories of the home and looked at the old photos that she had to share of previous owners of the home and of what this home looked like before. She also told us that her home was featured on HGTV's "Home Strange Home" show and also is in the book "Weird Oklahoma." Then she showed us around her home and explained what she had done to the walls or what she had added, etc. Upstairs, there is a fun slide that my husband went down twice (lol, he's such a kid at heart). Linda had said that she added that slide for her daughter (such a cool mom she is. I wish I had a slide in my bedroom when I was kid). It was very interesting to learn about the history that Tulsa had. Also earlier in the week, some locals at a dog event we had gone to with our little girl dog, had told us about the Tulsa Cave House (although I already had this place bookmarked before visiting Oklahoma) and that they had gone on a tour and that it was worth a visit. Our tour was about 50 minutes and thought it was at a good pace and a fun activity to do. If you are looking for something out of box and happen to be visiting Tulsa, you should consider checking out the Tulsa Cave House. It is recommended to make an appointment beforehand. Although you may get lucky to do a walk in, if Linda is home.

got there, immediately liked addition to shared trail of distinction between running and vehicle…read morelanes via green paint at potential collision junctions. next, oh wait, before that, getting ready to cross riverside dr, i heard and saw hooping on the 2nd most southernly of the 5 courts, and hollered something bout hooping on the volleyball court because i've come to associate all 3 of the most southernly courts with a volleyball net setup, even though the 3rd most southernly and northernly is the only court i actually saw with one tonight. okay, so, yeah, the hooping was decently good too, saw a couple tough drives to basket, including a smooth finger rolling lay. i'd not hopped into any of the pickup runs, but glad to be there and see some action. by the way, the drives and lay transpired on the 2nd most northernly court, which tends to be where the most serious hoopers congregate from what i've saw. further, i'd heard a security officer notifying people to the courts closing in about 15 to 20 minutes, before cutting off most of the lights, leaving enough for each courtgoer to safely disperse.

I bring my binoculars and always spot a great variety of birds. The trees are absolutely stunning... there are over 100 species of trees. Honestly... it's a little escape from a hectic world. It's the perfect place to bring a book, find your spot, and just relax for a while. Whether you're looking to unwind, enjoy nature, or have a quiet moment to yourself...this park is a hidden gem that never disappoints. Perfect for getting in your steps too! I like to go early morning before it gets too hot or busy. Starting in May they have free canoe rentals!! They also have very good food. Love their fresh fruit cups which they prepare every morning daily, their sandwiches are fresh and very good! I've also had their ice cream and it's delicious. When you first walk into the main building, you can check out chess pieces and other games. Some of the tables have the chessboard design printed on them. Perfect for getting your chess game on. Every Wednesday and Sunday, you can bring your dog. Over at the boathouse on the bottom floor they have a little museum called "Drawers of curiosity." Hard to believe The Gathering Place doesn't charge an entrance fee!! It's just simply amazing!

You can park your car at the right of pedestrian bridge and cross sit to the plaza. This plaza is part of famous history Route 66. You can enjoy the old railroad station, bridge walk to other side of bank to visit the historical sign. This plaza definitely is photo hot spot. Many place can get this photo including the gateway of Tulsa.

It was originally 9 stories, 4 more stories were added shortly after completion. It was supposed to complement (not compete visually with) the Philtower. A tunnel connects the two buildings. You can also find the WP initials. The zig zag designs of the glass and bronze insets above the entrances are very characteristic and the architecture shows the Art Deco style in Tulsa. It had naturalistic motifs outside and inside (flowers, vines, and animals). The penthouse was added in 1937 as Waite Phillips' primary residence. The rooms have hardwood paneled walls and ornate decorative Art Deco details. Besides it's awesome historical significance, it is where Mod's coffee and crepes is located as well as the awesome Deco District shops (Picklesworth, The Bookerie, Okie Crowe and Made).

It has a beautiful, classy lobby that is probably the most beautiful lobby in Tulsa. I love the fan traceries of the Philtower, but that is gothic! There's a need for signage on the west side when entering the bridge for walkers/bikers lanes. It's unclear until you reach the top. There are benches throughout the bridge so you can rest and enjoy the view. The lighting at night is beautiful. The only thing I would change is the cobble stone lining up the east entrance to the bridge. It's not very friendly to skaters. I fell when on roller blades because my tires got caught on them. You can't try to skip over them either since they're so wide. I'm concerned people using canes might find them hard to navigate as well. Wish they were smoother!

No sign was posted on the doors so I have no idea why they were closed when they were supposed to be open. So one star. Then that same day, in the evening we were wanting to go listen to some live music and it was posted that they had both jazz and blues that night. We headed over and what a great time we had! It was basically an hour of different musicians jamming jazz then an hour of blues. It seemed to be all locals that knew each other. We stuck out like sore thumbs! But they were so friendly. Many many came over to introduce themselves. Daughter was asked to both get up and sing and also dance. She declined both but still so nice. Drinks are served but you only pay what you want. How crazy is that? We tried to be generous. Five stars for live music. That's how you end up with three stars.

I waited outside like 10 minute before I was let in during normal business hours. I called a few times and sent a few messages hoping to get in before I left Tulsa. When I was finally let in, I toured this place rather quickly. Without a show going on, there isn't too much to see and do here and the exhibits aren't super interactive. I think if I was more into jazz and if there was a show or event going on, I would have had a better experience. Also, while the exterior of the building is lovely and historic, the inside needs some work, especially the entrance, floors, etc. With some funds and some love, this place could really be something.

throughout the years i've been at cain's ballroom, it's been on different occasions. one of the…read morefirst times ever was during a whiskey tasting called giving spirits. that was one of the first times being part of something like that & i really enjoyed myself. during that time, i started attending tastings outside of cain's ballroom & that event played a part. another occasion was seeing mac miller live in concert. his set alone was close to 2 hours, he absolutely crushed his set! outside of mac miller, cain's hosts A LOT of artists that you couldn't think of. if you ever want to come close to coming in contact with the performers, they usually hit the bars on the street to get a taste of how the city gets down (it's happened numerous times during open mic events at neighboring bars for the past couple of decades). something major is that local acts perform here as well, whether they're opening for another act or they're hosting their own show. one of the more recent occasions was being part of a fundraiser. that was maybe the the first time i've ever had people place bids on my artwork. it was a different experience that i enjoyed, seeing what all people had in-store (i wanna say the event was the chili cook off that cain's hosts yearly). all in all, i've had nothing but positive experiences here. when you ever get a chance, look up the history behind this place.
