I really appreciated that he did a great job of social distancing and wore a mask as well (as did I) and did a great job explaining the battery issue. He hooked the battery up to the analyzer thingy to test it. He thoroughly explained what the problem was and didn't try to hard sell me a battery which he easily could have. I have never felt pressured by AAA to buy a battery or left confused as to what the problem was with the car. If you do need a battery AAA will bring the battery to you, install it, and it comes with a 3-year warranty. I've always gotten my batteries through them. I decided to have the car towed to a garage instead of dealing with the battery because there was another major issue with the car that would have prevented me from driving it enough to keep a battery charged. He asked me if I needed anything in the car and also if I needed any of the keys on the key ring - which I did and if it wasn't for him asking me I would be without my house keys. He called the tow truck, left the keys on the visor for the truck, and let me know that they would put me keys in the drop box at the garage. Justin told me I didn't even need to be out when they towed the car away. The tow truck was here within 15 minutes. I would highly recommend AAA. I have had such good experiences with them. Everyone they have sent has always been polite and took their time explaining things to me. The customer reps are also very nice and thorough. Thanks Justin and AAA!

Worked with business insurance agent Carol Binette on a business policy and workers' comp…read moreinsurance. This person was so incompetent, and the mistakes she made so egregious, I absolutely am shocked that she was able to pass the licensing exam, or whatever it is that insurance agents need to do to hang out a shingle. You probably won't believe this story, but here goes anyway; it is true. For our small business, we needed general liability insurance as required in our lease, and workers' comp insurance as mandated by the state. After going back and forth for literally weeks, with her sending us quotes and policy drafts reflecting pretty much the opposite of what we were specifically asking her to set up for us, we finally got something we thought would work. Problem is, she told us that owners of the business could be covered on the Workers' Comp policy at no additional charge. We said, great, let's go with it. After our year-end audit from MEMIC, we discovered that what she told us was completely false, and in fact any corporate officer in Maine can either waive WC coverage or be covered at a minimum of $36K salary -- resulting in over $1K higher in our premium. So much for "no additional charge." We had already switched insurance companies by the time we learned this, but when we wrote to Binette to tell her this, her only reply was, "Too bad, let me know how it turns out." SERIOUSLY. It's her JOB to know this, and fortunately we were granted a retroactive waiver to have it taken off the policy in time, before we were due to pay, but only due to our working extremely quickly with the help of our competent and friendly new agent (at a different company) and the benevolence of the Maine WCB. "Oh like geez I almost cost you $1000. Oh well." = not a sufficient acknowledgement of the wrongdoing. Again, I have no idea how this person manages to stay employed as an insurance agent if she is this ignorant of Maine law in the field in which she claims to be able to help people.

I had never rented before so I did not know I needed a different policy. I was also going to school in Texas so she said I could not have car insurance through them anymore since I was not in Maine for part of the year. They then tried charging me more than I was quoted for my insurance. I did get a quote from them for new house insurance which ended up being $200 more than state farm. All around very disappointed in how the company has gone downhill. My dad is also switching companies after many years because their rates are higher and Gail was also rude to his wife. She did get to talk to Roxanne one day and said she was very nice though.
