My in laws are here at least 3 times a week! They love the $10 senior special! They had been wanting to take us and we finally got here Sunday. It was busy but not packed as it was relatively early. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we got a booth in the main dining room. Our server was awesome, Linda! She was friendly and efficient! On top of her game! I had a poor dining experience at this restaurant and will not be returning. I ordered a medium burger. When it arrived, I cut it in half to check the temperature and found it was overcooked and served cold. I sent it back expecting a fresh remake, but I was returned the same burger, already cut in half. It was clearly reheated rather than remade. The top bun was steamed and soggy, while the bottom was wet and hard in places. The lettuce was hot and wilted, which would not happen with a freshly prepared burger. Based on the condition of the food and other reviews mentioning similar issues, it strongly suggests the burger was microwaved rather than properly remade. My partner ordered a medium-rare steak for his NY skillet, but it came out tough and overcooked, showing a lack of attention to basic temperature instructions. There was also an order error: the French toast was missing from his order and only brought out later after we flagged it and checked the receipt. Our waitress did apologize and offered to have the burger remade, but given the quality of the first attempt, I did not feel confident the kitchen would prepare it correctly on a second try, so I declined. Management ultimately adjusted the ticket to resolve the issue. When we paid, the host/cashier did not ask whether we enjoyed our meal, which added to the impression that customer experience was not a priority. The only positives were the sweet potato fries and the lemon rice soup. Overall, this visit fell far below acceptable standards in both food preparation and service. I got a chicken Panini. It was burnt and supposed to have red sauce barely anything on it. I had to return the fries cause we're all battered up and greasy and then he brought me another fry back and that was still greasy. I asked for a side of red sauce and they said they had to charge me because I couldn't swallow this dry ass Panini. And somebody I went with got the lake perch and it was all really dry and bad. It's overly packed with people the waiter was terrible. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. I got American cheese, but she never came back to check on us so I could say these are wrong. We chose the PICK FOUR - and you get to choose one item from four boxes. Four items = $4.75. The eggs (sunny-side up or scrambled) are both great, the toast (plenty of types to choose from), the grits (good), the bacon (awesome), the sausage patty (meh), the potatoes (decent), the pancakes (dry and tasteless), and the muffins (no telling how old). The coffee was okay...I added tons of cream to mask the musty flavor. it wasn't super fresh. The service - is excellent in the mornings. Attentive, helpful, super friendly. The value = OUTSTANDING. I came here a few times for breakfast. The first time I came here, I had their crepes. It was four good size crepes that were topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream. They were pretty good. I had to take the last one home since they are really filling. I also ordered a size of bacon, which was nice and crispy. The second time I came here, I had the 4 for $4, which were eggs, hash browns, bacon, and french toast. Very good portion size. I could not finish it all. Everything tasted pretty good. The ham dry. The oatmeal had a hard film on the top and tasted sour. Then when asked for a bigger plate cause they put the pancakes on a small plate the lady gave us a takeout container. At the end the front end cashier was rude. We always go to the Schererville location and everything is great. We will NEVER go here again. It's my second home away from home and if you wanna go somewhere and be treated like family RTC is the place to go hands-down / bar NONE I can't speak for the morning and afternoon cooks, but the midnight shift is on point and if Shannon is your server, it'll be the most pleasurable dining experience you've had in a long time. Ordered a omelette that I've always order when visiting restaurant. Today my meal was slammed on the table by another waitress. I wish I had taken a picture. The omelette eggs was scrambled not omelette formed. I made a complaint and manager and waitress questioned my complain. Said that I mashed up the omelette. April 2021 - This was the first time we have visited this particular location. The exterior of the building needs significant repairs. The interior of the restaurant was dusty and dirty, particularly the light fixtures that are caked in dust. Our table was not as clean as it should have been. I had a Tex Mex Chicken wrap and coleslaw. My wife had soup. We also had dinner rolls. I also received a free piece of Lemon Pie. The food was excellent overall. The service was good. The food quantity and price was fair. I would be willing to give this place a second chance but my wife had no interest in returning. We will never go to or around-the-clock anymore. We ordered the panini's And the catfish, And the teriyaki stir fry was soggy and tasteless. We waited an hour and a 1/2 for our food. Only to be told that they were out of carrots Only to be told that we They were out of carrots. It's always the one in Highland, When we got the scratch off we won $20. Only to find out that they never put the $20 on the gift card. So not only do we pay $60 for garbage. When we got our food it was so cold that the fries tasted greasy. I've been to A LOT of restaurants from Hot Dog/Fast Food establishments to 3 Star Michelin Restaurants through out the Continental United States. I've patronized the Round the Clock restaurants in Schereville & Highland, Indiana several times a month & they are the BEST family restaurant in NW Indiana.
