Two days and 4 hours of labor at $185 per hr to fix a leaky faucet seems excessive. Not to mention the time between visits.

Nightmare! Beware. READ the contract they ask you to sign and think about what that means before…read moreyou sign it. All Servpro locations are independently owned and this owner, Kyle Carter, is not to be trusted. Our experience: We had an issue with an upstairs commode where an object clogged caused the water to not stop running after being flushed. We called our insurance company and Servpro was selected as the mitigation company. They came within a couple of hours and began their services. Their work should have taken about 5 days. On the 16th day of them billing and mitigating, we complained to the project manager about how long it was taking. On the 18th day of them billing and mitigating, the two workers shut off the water to the whole house at the street and tore out the ceramic tile in the upstairs master shower. At the end of the day the workers went back to the water main at the street and turned the water back on to the whole house. They left. They did not go back inside the house. We were not living at the house but I went by a couple of hours later to check on any progress they made that day. I walked in to the sound of pouring water. They had turned the shower on while working and it had been running into a shell of a shower upstairs. The water was pouring out of the shower into a bathroom where the shower floor had been removed, the bathroom flooring had been removed, the insulation below had been removed, the ductwork in that area had been removed, and the ceiling drywall on the downstairs area below that bathroom had been removed. There was plastic hung on the ceiling so all that water pouring down pulled the plastic down in one area and created a funnel. It was a nightmare walking in, unzipping the plastic barrier, and seeing this. The original damage only affected the dining area of our home. This new damage caused by Servpro caused water damage to the entire downstairs. We insisted a new report be done and testing for all areas. We SHOULD have fired them on the spot and had a different water mitigation come do testing and provide a report. Oh, what I would give to go back in time and do that! We believed what we were told and allowed them to proceed. They minimized the damage to our insurance company. They did not test in the other areas of the house and covered an area they claimed to not be affected with RAM board after claiming to have removed all materials affected by this incident they caused. In 4 days time they were done and out of our house. Remember, the first incident was water that was running for 15 minutes and that mitigation took 18 days before they caused the second water event. The incident they caused was water running for 2 hours, but they can mitigate that in 4 days. That is pretty telling of their character. We went through weeks of back and forth believing Servpro would make us whole. We ended up being forced to file a second insurance claim on their negligence in order to move everything forward. This would later result in State Farm not renewing our policy due to two claims in one year. We had one type of flooring throughout our home. We had just renovated the house with that flooring one and a half year earlier but that flooring was discontinued. It took time to search to try and find it but we realized that all the places who showed it in stock did not actually have it. We wanted to keep the look of the same flooring throughout. Once the new flooring was ready to be installed, the contractor removed the remaining flooring that was not removed by Servpro to find mold from the water they did not dry out. The contractor ended up at the urgent care! We had to halt everything and begin mold remediation. Another nightmare! Mold remediation, not being covered by insurance, cost us a whopping $17K out of pocket. Servpro has insurance. When they did this to our house they did not want to file a claim and did not do so. John Carr met with us and assured us they would "do the right thing." What a joke! This has been on-going and has cost us more money and more than money. Now, we are having to spend money on attorney fees to sue Servpro. We sent a demand letter just for the out of pocket expense on the mold. They responded with an offer less than half of what it cost us and more failing to take responsibility for the damage they caused. The project manager and workers who worked at our home were fired. But they were the ones who were honest and owned up to their mistakes. The owner is the one who does not do what he says, does not take responsibility for negligence of his employees, and even tries to get them to say things that are not factual to shift blame off of the company. I have never been one to leave negative reviews. It takes a lot for me to get the place where a 1 star review is given. We have given this company WAY, WAY more time and grace than they deserve. They don't even deserve 1 star.

I returned home from a short trip to a client call within my neighborhood to find a red van parked in my driveway and a man--who identified himself as being from Jimmy Lumley Plumbing--already inside my home, in my kitchen where I couldn't see him as he was behind the partition. I had received no notice, confirmation, or prior communication from Servpro or anyone else involved in the project indicating that a plumber was scheduled to arrive today. Let me be clear: He did knock on the door, but he did not ring the doorbell, which would have triggered my security system notification. When no one answered, he proceeded to let himself into my home without consent. My 19-year-old daughter was home and asleep in her bedroom, unaware that a stranger had entered the house. When I questioned him, he stated: "This is my fourth house today--I don't even remember," and admitted he didn't see a doorbell, even though he previously claimed he knocked AND rang the bell. When I called ServPro, they confirmed they were also not informed of his scheduled visit. This is an unacceptable breach of safety, privacy, and protocol. No individual should be entering a home without explicit permission, especially when no notice has been given to the homeowner or the rebuild team coordinating the project. The fact that someone was already inside my home when I returned--with no explanation--was both alarming and distressing.
