I found Soul Kitchen on Nextdoor. So far I've had the chicken noodle soup and the pulled pork. Both are delicious and tasted like someone you know cooked them instead of tasting like they were mass produced in a food factory. The chicken noodle soup had whole cherry tomatoes in it which was a welcome surprise; it was laced with greens; and she does not skimp on the chicken. The soup was well seasoned with what looked like thyme, but it wasn't over salted like so many pre-packaged foods are. Ordering is easy, and Sunday delivers when she says she will. The products come frozen and with thawing and re-heating instructions. I also like that soups come in re-usable plastic containers that are ultimately recyclable which is important to me. I will be ordering again.

( I lived there for 8 years - no stranger to authentic deep dish!) I can say without hesitation the pie exceeded expectations. Not just a little. But substantially. The crust was perfect by my standards. I measure Italian restaurants by two things. Their meatballs and their sauce. The sauce on our pizza was outstanding. All of it homemade and it tasted like it. To our tastebuds, a true delight. If you're looking a reasonably priced meal hosted by very polite and friendly staff, then this is your place!

So the many reviews predating this have nothing to do with PIZZAGUY other than their location. PIZZAGUY owner Joe is an Italian American from upstate New York with 40 years experience in the restaurant trade. He partners with his wife Ana who hails from Mexico City and Naples, Florida. They are a very amiable couple who happen to make a very good pie. If they are not too busy, ask how they came to buy Pizza Pig after returning to New York following a single afternoon in San Miguel. Everyone has a different expectation of what characterizes a good pizza. Me, I like 2 styles of pizza: either NY-style crispy, wafer-thin crust hot from the oven or slightly thicker NY-style crust that is crunchy on the bottom and slightly doughy above. PIZZAGUY pulls off the second style crust perfectly, topping it with just the right amount of sauce, a generous layer of cheese and optional toppings. The aroma of the fresh-made dough baking in the oven is the first hint of something good is your way coming. Next time there, I plan to try one (or more) of their non-pizza offerings (Stromboli, lasagna, manicotti, spaghetti, rigatoni) with some garlic bread and salad. Maybe tomorrow. Obviously, I very much enjoyed their pie and have no hesitation recommending that you give them a try. You may not agree with my definition of a good pie but I'd bet most will. If you go to their website, the PDF versions of their menu are much clearer than the pictured menus. The PDFs are linked below the picture gallery. PIZZAGUY provides delivery service through WeGo (MX$40 extra within 5km) having retired the delivery Pizza Pig motorcycles due to safety concerns.
