I've enjoyed this Frost for nearly 25 years that we've lived here.... I got nothing but the experiences and prices and nice customer service at this particular location. Sadly the one in Sunland is not nearly as nice as far as staff... Now I'm not saying that the cashiers aren't so and so and blah blah blah but I am saying that one particular cashier and a manager today went out of their way to condescending dismissive not listening and speaking over me.... It was a simple request for an exchange and they had to come out with all guns of blurring trying to prove that they had the power over the customer.... I've already gone on the website I've already complained about the one in Sunland but again I enjoy shopping at Ross. So I'll be taking the extra time to go to this Ross and avoid that one like a black plague for a bit.... read more

I was on a break from work and needed a few things for my kitchen as some stuff I have has gone through some wear & tear over the years. I purchased a sink caddy, a solid turner, a nonstick pan, 2 dishwashing soaps, and a OXO Container for $30+. Very affordable. This location has very neat and clean aisles. I also noticed they had a self check out with about 4 registers. You'll still need an attendant to take out the security tag if your items have one. This location has to be my favorite as other locations I've gone to are quite messy. I was in and out of there within a hour since I knew what I was looking for. Ok, I came here specifically because I had a wonderful first experience at this Ross. I was in the area for dinner and a hike, and I thought I would stop by (because I'm obsessed with Ross) This location is HUGE. Also, the parking lot is huge (yay). There was so much selection and everything was so organized. I found a lot of gems in there and I was so in awe of all the variety at this location. However, I specifically wanted to give a shout out to the young woman who helped me. I believe her name was Grace (receipt says Assoc: 2076881). She was very friendly, helpful and QUICK. I like this store and have been going there for years but the bathroom are always dirty, messy and stinky with tp and paper towels all over the floor. I've even seen dried poop on the toilet seat. The Ross prices are definitely super good, especially for the quality that you receive on the clothing. However, you do have to sift through some of the racks in order to find that piece of clothing that you're looking for but I find that provides a little bit of thrill to finding a piece of clothing, sort of like a treasure hunt in a way. This Ross is also relatively clean and holds everything from clothing for babies, teenagers, men, and women alike. They also have shoes and accessories. This Ross is also very organized and the staff is nice, polite and helpful. read more

It's a hot mess here, but man can you find a lot of great deals if you take the time and patience to find it! I have bought things in the women's (clothes), men's (clothes), children's (clothes), household (photo albums), and pet sections (toys and bedding). Check out line can be long, but they always have interesting things to look at and possibly buy while you wait. Love it that they do that, but it can add up before you know it. The staff here are unhelpful. If you happen to be the only black person in the store security follows you around. So does staff. They don't have much selection of women's shoes over size 10. About 8 pair of shoes and boots combined in sizes 11 and 12. It's a Ross so everything is picked over but more than usual at this location. Even the other shoppers were rude. A woman cut in front of me in line and acted like she didn't see me there - all 6 feet of me and my cart full of wares. I wanted to give a big thank you to 2 sales people that I had the pleasure of experiencing. Kevin and Nadine. I went shopping at this Ross about 3 weeks ago and I watched them interact with people. I was so impressed how nice they were to everyone including me. I walked up to each of them and asked their names so I could personally thank them for being so kind and going out of the way to be nice to people. Horrible Horrible Horrible customer service! I will NEVER shop there again. I took my mom shopping there the other day, and we bought a lot of merchandise. Some of the things we bought were glass and breakable. We were told that we could not take the buggy outside so that we could load our bags into the car. The option we were given was we could go get our car bring it to the front and load our car up there. The breakable items that we purchased were just put into a bag nothing was wrapped up and when I asked if they could wrap them the cashier told me no they don't do that. She attempted to put all the breakables together in one plastic bag and when I told her not to she gave me an attitude saying I wasn't going to do that. My arms were full of bags 1 of them broke and she was trying to hand me more packages. I told her I only have 2 hands and I need the buggy and she said I'm sorry you can't take them outside. I have visited this location a few times. Often times its hit or miss. Sometimes they have AMAZING deals on items that you can't find anywhere else. sometimes they don't. Theres enough parking but the place can get busy at times. The one thing that gives this place 2 stars instead of 3 is that the clothes are often thrown around and nobody picks them up. I've never walked into this store and not been greeted warmly, which I cant say for all of the locations I visit in los angeles. I believe they unload new shipment on Tuesday, this is the best day to go in the middle of the week. If you are a regular, the employees treat you as friends and a few even know me on a first name basis. I am always able to find what I need and it's perfect for last minute clothing. The only reason I give this store two stars is because it has a healthy selection of clothes. Otherwise, I would have given it half a star. I found it overpriced-, understaffed-, and way too messy -- compared to a lot of other Ross stores out there. If you visit this store in the evening, don't come alone. Ross store located in La Cañada Flintridge 2111 Foothill Blvd, La Canada, CA 91011 This is to inform you of a very unfortunate situation that occurred at this location around 9:30 PM. Rosa (curly copper blonde hair) one of your employees was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me. I saw how she treated other people at her race completely fine. I saw how she was treating a Hispanic lady with complete disregard to what she was saying in English. She just nodded away. I thought it was maybe just a misunderstanding. Then I had to interact with her. When using the restroom there was no hand soap then I proceeded to let Rosa know and she answered me with "Yeah?" And just stare at me. There is no language barrier with her because she speaks English and so do I. Later on there was an announcement that the fitting rooms were about to close in 30 minutes. I had to try something on and I hung eight pieces of clothing. I had already seen that she would tell other customers to leave their baskets full of other merchandise straight ahead towards her. I let her know that my cart was the one ahead of three other carts that customers had left. She then proceeded to let me know that "it was a very busy night". I do not understand what she meant by that, but I felt bad as if I had given her a task that was demeaning or disrespectful. I think that out of sheer courtesy when there is a customer with many items to purchase somebody would like to know that it's not just an abandoned cart ready to have things put away. I work as well and I'm thankful for the work that I have. It lets me afford to live and to purchase what I need. I then said " it's a job, jobs are busy" This is when it all event wrong. She then started to vent with one of her colleagues saying the nerve a client (me) telling her that it's her job to take care of the carts. Those were not my words. She then asked her colleagues if it was her job to take care of other people's carts, the employee then answered with "no it's not your job". Rosa continued to express her anger and discuss with me. I then proceeded to just leave the dressing room. It's hurtful to hear someone speak of you when you intend to support the Ross corporation by making purchases. Rosa intended for me and other customers to hear what she was saying. She was exceptionally loud and I could hear her from my dressing room loud and clear. I don't think it's polite, or correct in any sense for an employee to speak about paying customers. I then spoke to the manager Katia. I let her know everything that is written in this letter. She would not give me Rosa's last name initial or last name that's why included a description of the employee. I don't think I can ever return to his location ever again. I would like to get your thoughts about this situation. Due to the nature and level of disrespect I will be posting this letter on Yelp. I do not feel that the manager shared my views at all. Reason for why am reaching out to Ross directly. I have never felt the need to reach out to corporate. But this is way too much for me as a consumer to keep to myself. This happens to be the same city where a Starbucks employee discriminated a Hispanic man by calling him a derogatory name. I don't condone such behavior especially when it happens to me. Staying quiet will not help anyone to break down the barriers of discrimination. Is it me or did I do something wrong? Does Ross not provide furniture home accessories and clothing? When I go to a store should I just go for one intention or purpose only? I was planning to buy a pot and some artificial flowers as well as a few dresses.
